Thanks for providing a review copy, I was not able to read this one. So I will not be leaving a review on social media at this time. |
The story begins with Allie, running out of her own wedding to Marcus. She beloved her family is cursed and wants to save him from hurt. I enjoyed this book immensely, and adored the main characters. Poor Allie is linked to an embarrassing family and feels she’s destined to repeat their mistakes. Marcus is a down to earth guy who loves Allie so much. The story was funny and witty. It also demonstrated how we are new creatures in Christ and our past does not define us. Adorable! |
This was a pretty short and sweet Christian romance. It's wholesome and endearing but I felt it was a little rushed, but that's sometimes the cast off with novellas. Allie is afraid to marry Marcus, but she relies on faith ultimately to have her happy ending. |

If you are looking for a quick read and a sweet romance these novellas are for you. Each one in the Year of Weddings takes a couple hours to read. They are fun and light. |
A fun wedding series. I really enjoyed the first installments. Now to have time to go back and finish the rest. |
Sweet, Christian-oriented love story about knowing who you are and who you need to be with. An easy, quick read for a light-hearted feeling and relaxation. |
"A February Bride" is a fast, fun read that tugs at the heart-strings. Allie is a runner, at least, she ran from her groom-t0-be on their wedding day. It wasn't that she didn't love Marcus, it's that she didn't want to ruin his life. After all, wearing the hand-me-down wedding dress that followed your mother and grandmother through countless failed marriages doesn't exactly inspire confidence in commitment. The book follows Allie as she helps her best friend get through her upcoming nuptials. Did I mention her best friend is her ex-fiancee's sister? Awkward. Seeing how Allie and Marcus deal with being around each other for the wedding is entertaining and endearing. The cast of characters are a mix of exasperating and lovable, and add a bit of depth and humor to the book. My only wish is that it could have been longer. I definitely recommend! |
