Book received from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for the opportunity to read your book. Second chance romances are one of my favorite and Pixie and Levi were so real. This was a really good book. |
I requested this one back in the day as I had every intention of reading it. However, its been years and I still haven't gotten around to it and while I feel guilty at not reviewing a book I think that I need to admit to myself that I won't be reading this one anytime soon....if at all. |
I really really liked this one. It was sexy and had its share of emotions, but still was lighthearted enough that it made a fun read. The characters were well developed - even the secondary characters - which was a great plus. |
I tried this book but it was not working for me. The writing was not good or engaging and the characters felt too stereotypical. |
Friends to lovers and second chance romances at is best, Pixie and Levi were great characters. What I enjoyed the most was their interaction, and the banter was one of the best parts of this book, not to mention the humor. Best Kind of Broken has a great balance of humor, romance & angst and it was beautifully put together in a story that will pull at the heart. It may be a few years old, but it is still a fantastic story. |

This book was absolutely adorable. I loved the b&b setting and the romance was the best Its been a while since I've read this, but i would definitely do a reread! I miss the characters. |

A second chance - but it will not be easy... A time between two people who unfortunately ended up being the cause for the pain. She is back to take a moment and figure out her life... He is in the same place. He knows he hurt her... and wants to figure out how to make it all better. |
The past may be a third person in a relationship and thus everything gets crowded... Pixie and Levi love each other, does anyone doubt about it? But love was not enough, because sadness, remorse, corroded. They stayed a year without seeing each other or even talking, until they go to work in the same place, the Inn of Pixie's aunt. They would sleep in rooms near each other and share the same bathroom. The pain was so deep that, to disguise, they fought, they offended each other. But can not anyone see how much they love each other? Maybe Pixie's aunt can. The pace of the book is slow. The couple is not willing to give in. Each has its share of reason. Here, it is not a question of who is right and who is wrong. The reader simply wants everything to work out. And soon. It is a tense and sometimes tiring reading (many fights). But if the reader knows how to wait, he may be satisfied with the ending. 4 stars |
This book didn't do much for me. I've been a big fan of this author's previous work but this one was disappointing. |
