I loved being back in this world of the Get Lost Lodge. I enjoyed the cast of characters. The love story happened pretty quick, but I did still like it.

When I learned the main character was named Jilly (my family nickname) and her daughter was Ollie (my Gram’s nickname), I HAD to read this book! This is the second in the series, but you don’t have to read the first one first – though I suggest you do!

This is a beautiful story about small town romance and my favorite trope - second chance love. I appreciated the storylines and how both Levi and Jilly moved away only to come back home. Levi has work to do to rebuild relations stressed when he moved away and didn’t join the family business. Jilly is healing from divorce and learning to love again while still protecting her daughter.

The conflict in this one was very believable. Without giving away too much, Jilly becomes stressed out with everything going on in life and love and lashes out. She really might be me in book form! I loved how this played out and how it was resolved. I felt it was compassionate and realistic.

Lastly, Ollie is a doll. I adored her in book one and in this one. She is the cutest!

Again, the main characters fell for each other a little too fast for me, and the scenes with Jilly and Levi felt repetitive in the middle. But, overall, this is another Hallmark movie romance that will be perfect for summer either on the beach or by the fire.

Thank you @netgalley and @stmartinspress for an eARC in exchange for my honest review.

Question – Everyone calls Jilliann “Jilly” but I only allow close family to call me that. Do you have a nickname reserved only for a few people?

Thank you for the ARC! I am not a huge fan of clean romance so I felt like some spots of the second hand romance fell short. I had difficulty getting into this one and wanting to pick it up. Quick read nonetheless

Sophie Sullivan’s "Get Lost with You" is a captivating romantic novel that seamlessly weaves together themes of love, adventure, and self-discovery. Set against the backdrop of picturesque locations and brimming with charming characters, this story offers readers a heartwarming escape into the world of unexpected romance and personal growth.

The novel follows the journey of Claire Everhart, a dedicated travel blogger who has built her career on sharing her solo adventures and experiences with the world. Claire’s life appears picture-perfect on social media, but in reality, she is struggling with a sense of loneliness and the pressures of maintaining her online persona. Determined to find true happiness and authenticity, Claire sets out on a journey that she hopes will reignite her passion for travel and life.

Enter Eli Jameson, a charismatic and adventurous photographer who crosses paths with Claire during one of her trips. Eli is dealing with his own set of challenges, having recently experienced a significant personal loss that has left him questioning his future. Their initial encounter is filled with chemistry and a hint of serendipity, setting the stage for a romance that is both enchanting and deeply emotional.

Sullivan excels at creating vivid and relatable characters. Claire is a compelling protagonist whose journey of self-discovery and healing is both inspiring and poignant. Her struggles with maintaining a perfect image and her desire for genuine connection are portrayed with depth and sensitivity. Eli, on the other hand, is a refreshing and charming hero who brings a sense of adventure and spontaneity to the story. His journey of coping with loss and rediscovering his passion for photography adds an emotional layer to the narrative.

From the bustling streets of Paris to the serene beaches of Bali, the settings are vividly portrayed and serve as a beautiful backdrop for Claire and Eli’s journey. Sullivan’s descriptive writing captures the essence of each location, making readers feel as though they are experiencing the adventures alongside the characters.

The chemistry between Claire and Eli is palpable and well-developed. Sullivan takes her time to build their relationship, allowing it to evolve naturally over the course of the novel. Their interactions are filled with witty banter, heartfelt moments, and a sense of mutual respect. The slow burn of their romance is both realistic and satisfying, culminating in a heartwarming conclusion that leaves readers with a sense of fulfillment.

"Get Lost with You" also delves into important themes such as authenticity, self-discovery, and the impact of social media on our lives. Claire’s struggle with her online persona and her journey towards finding genuine happiness is a theme that resonates deeply in today’s world. The novel offers a thoughtful exploration of the pressures of maintaining a perfect image and the importance of embracing one’s true self.

Jillian has had a crush on her brother's friend Levi since she was 15. Ten years on, Jilly now has a daughter and is living back in her hometown after a failed marriage. When Levi returns to town, neither expects the sparks to fly as they do. And when it seems like Levi is there to stay and the two will be working together, surely they'll give in to the temptation!

Sophie Sullivan always writes super cute romcoms. This one was sweet and fun with single mom Jilly getting her second chance at love. Ollie, her daughter, was such a fantastic feisty character who added to the romance storyline.

Title:  Get Lost with You
Author:  Sophie Sullivan
Genre: Romance
Rating:  3.5 out of 5

Jillian Keller took the long route to her best life, but is now happily settled in her hometown of Smile, raising her little girl alone while helping her brother run Get Lost Lodge. A lover of structure and routine, she doesn’t need anything, or anyone, disrupting her carefully curated life.

After chasing and achieving his culinary dreams, Levi Bright realizes he’s still missing something. Something he can’t find in a big city. Returning home to Smile, he intends to build a different future for himself that includes mending fences with his dad, reconnecting with friends, and creating elevated comfort food for a town he loves.

When Levi and Jilly run into each other one day in Smile, once requited feelings that never had a chance to bloom as teens flare between them immediately. Jaded from her past, Jilly is cautious and convinced that she can handle being just friends, as the two have to work closely together to prepare for Get Lost’s official summer opening, spending time together, camping, laughing, kayaking, and reminiscing. But when her brother hires sweet, funny, ridiculously hot Levi as the new chef at the lodge, and she and Ollie are getting more attached, things are moving more quickly than she anticipated--and Jilly has been hurt before. If she wants to be head over heels in love, she'll have to learn that the past doesn’t always repeat itself. Sometimes, it just leads you where you’re meant to be.

I don’t feel like there was very much conflict in this read. I mean, Jillian and Levi re-meet, are immediately attracted to each other/admit their past attraction for each other, and Boom! They’re together. Even the potential conflict with her brothers not wanting their friend to date their sister was…underwhelming and resolved in about 25 seconds. The stuff with Jillian’s ex was overblown—and we didn’t even see how it turned out. The characters were fine, this was just an easy HEA.

Sophie Sullivan is from Canada. Get Lost With You is her newest novel.

This book was a quick, very low-angst read. I thought the story itself was nice, but I struggled with the characters not really getting the growth that I think could have happened. The conflict that did exist wasn't really between the main characters, except for the one very out of place argument they had. Mainly our main male character was battling some old conflict with his father, and the main female character had her ex pop up, but it was such a small part of the story that it almost felt like an afterthought that was added into give her character something more. I was really excited about this story, and I love a second chance romance so much, but this unfortunately fell a little bit flat.

My first time reading Sophie Sullivan and it won't be my last! This was a solid 3 star read for me. Jilly and Levi both end up back in their small home town and reconnect in this sweet romance. Levi works to win Jilly's heart after she has been hurt in her past and his patience is next level sweet! Levi was a very swoony book boyfriend and this was a clean romance. This had so many good tropes; small town, single mother, second chance, friends to lovers, brothers' best friend, need I say more?! I enjoyed that our main characters were closer to their 30s and had real life struggles they were navigating.

This is a feel-good, small-town romance about second chances that both characters didn't realize was a second chance! Jilly and Levi both had feelings for each other, but circumstances in life led them down different paths. When Levi ends up back in his hometown, he picks up where he left off with Jilly, but this time holds nothing back and lets her know exactly how he feels. Jilly has been hurt before and has trust issues, which plays a huge factor in them navigating life, both personally and professionally. There is a perfect amount of swoon and spice in this book!

Another sweet love story by Sophie Sullivan, Get Lost With You explores the growing relationship between Levi, returned home after many years away studying and working as a chef, and Jilly, a divorcee with a young daughter who works at her family's lodge in their hometown. Both have issues: Levi is estranged from his father and Jilly is recovering from her emotionally abusive marriage to a narcissist. The side characters, mostly comprised of their respective families, include siblings, parents, and Jilly's young daughter, Ollie. All the characters are believable, and the story is engaging, touching, and humorous in spots. My one quibble would be with the third act breakup, which seemed just a little contrived, as Jilly second-guesses her trust in Levi with, it seems to me, little reason to do so. However, the story is enjoyable and absorbing enough to overcome this for me. I'd recommend this to lovers of romance and family stories.

Jillian Keller, a single mom, is content with her structured life in Smile, helping her brother run Get Lost Lodge. Levi Bright, a chef returning to his hometown, seeks a fresh start. When they reconnect, their old feelings resurface. As they work together at the lodge, Jilly must overcome her past fears to embrace what the future holds with Levi and her daughter, Ollie.

Overall, this book was an absolute delight and a breeze to read. The romance was incredibly sweet, and witnessing Jilly's journey of opening her heart to trust and love again after all she's been through was truly beautiful. Levi's unwavering support and patience with Jilly added an extra layer of heartwarming charm to the story. I really enjoyed the characters in this book.

However, I wish there had been more closure with Andrew's storyline. Additionally, a bit more of a slow burn between Jilly and Levi would have helped me connect with the story better. Despite these minor points, they didn't detract from my overall enjoyment of the book.

If you are looking for a sweet, cozy, small town romance- give this one a read when it releases mid Feb 2025!

I love a Sophie Sullivan book!!! I’ve had this arc for seemingly forever and just kept putting off!! But it was worth the wait! Being back in Smile was SO SWEET! Jilly and Levi are the PERFECT right person wrong time second chance romance. I loved watching their pieces fall into place!! And seeing everyone again was such a treat!

This was low angst but lots of feelings!! Levi was IN from the second he saw Jillian again, and I really loved that. Jillian was a little more unsure. Not about her feelings! She has had feelings for him forever! But she had a lot on the line, and while Levi was back and telling her he wasn’t anywhere it was still hard for her to really trust that. But he was willing to let her figure things out and really just prove her that he wasn’t going anywhere!! And it was worthy but wait!

And really they were SO SWEET together! And it was PERFECT how easily Ollie and Levi got along! And that little girl is not afraid to speak her mind. I loved how seamlessly they all became a sweet little family. It was truly exactly what Jillian needed!

I cannot wait to be back in Smile for Grayson’s story?! And maybe even Lainey?! And to figure out why Leo and Liam are fighting!!? And Sophie has a Christmas book coming out this year??? And I haven’t read her most recent release, Can’t Help Falling in Love, so I’m probably going to do that ASAP!

Thank you to SMP for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Thanks to NetGalley for an eARC of this book. It was the first book that I have read by Sophie Sullivan. I really enjoyed it and am glad to see she has another book in what looks like is going to be a series. (It looks like the first book is about two other character that are side characters in this book. I definitely plan to read that book now.) I really enjoyed all of the characters. I like that she made there be some conflict, but it still had a happy ending. I was rooting for the characters. This story is about Jilly and Levi. They both grew up in Smile, Michigan, moved away, but are now back. Jilly has been through a divorce and has a young daughter, so she is very cautious about dating or being in a relationship. One day, she runs into her old crush, Levi, who has moved back to town to help his parents out, and they both realize that they still have feelings for each other. Levi is content to take things slowly, though, because he knows Jilly was deeply hurt by her ex-husband. Smile is a small town, and both their families are friends. He knows that he doesn't want to ruin their friendship while trying to pursue a romantic relationship with her. He is also cautious because he doesn't want to hurt her daughter either. Not long after they decide to start a relationship, though, there are several big changes coming, and her ex-husband tries to come back into her life. Jilly can't handle all of the changes and wants to protect her daughter from being hurt. Will she be able to find a way to be together with Levi, or will she decide to end the relationship for good? Will she be able to handle all of the changes, or will she run away from the support of her family?

“Levi was pretty sure he’d never wanted to kiss a woman this badly except for one other time in his life. And it was the same woman.”

This sweet second-chance romance is a gentle, loving story with very little angst or tension. Levi returns to the small town of Smile, Michigan, looking for a new kind of life. Jilly is building a new life with her daughter Ollie after a bad marriage. She intends to keep the bad things out of her and Ollie’s life from now on, which means she isn’t interested in taking a risk on her teenage crush. But Levi patiently helps her let down her defenses. I loved all the declarations of love. The makeup scene after the third act breakup was well worth the angst.

Jilly’s family dynamic was so much fun thanks to her great brothers. This book has beautiful scenery in a great location, fun scenes, and a cast of characters you want to keep hanging out with after reading the book.

This was a bit tedious. It’s a common sort of small-town romance, but there really isn’t much plot there. A successful chef returns home to a small Michigan island and quickly falls again for the sister of one of his friends whom he’d liked in high school. She falls for him, but she has a nine-year old daughter and has lived through a bad first marriage. So she’s hesitant. They see each other, fall right back into love. She has qualms, and surprise, surprise, it all works out in the end. Meanwhile, the author depicts many scenes of their wholesome interactions together. I found myself skimming through whole chapters because not much was really going on.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's press for the E-ARC of this title.

I really love Sophie Sullivan's writing style. I love that she doesn't use miscommunication as a tool to drive the plot. Her characters are honest with their feelings, and she depicts mature relationships.

Levi and Jilly both had crushes on each other when they were younger. When Levi arrives back in their small town, all of their feelings come rushing back. Neither shy away from words nor their emotions with each other. Again, the honesty is so refreshing for a romance book.

Jilly's life is a bit more complex being a divorcee and single mom. Giving into her wants and desires isn't something any mother takes lightly and figuring out how Levi fits into her puzzle bleeds depth into the story.

Levi's also struggling to find his place and where he fits. Jilly is his best friend's little sister, he fails to measure up to his fathers expectations, and every choice he makes is based on his love for Jilly.

I really enjoyed this one. It is a closed-door, small-town romance and a simple and fast read.

This book is a second-chance romance that takes place in the same small town as another unconnected stand alone by this author that I haven't read yet. This book was felt good to read and I thought the romance was heartwarming. I also loved that Levi was a single dad and loved how amazing of a dad he was to his daughter.

“Lightning,” she whispered, pulling back. She literally left him dazed. He stared at her through lowered lids. “What?”“It’s not supposed to strike the same spot twice, but every kiss with you is good.”

Cute and easy to read second chance romance with a distinct Hallmark movie vibe! Small town romance at its sweetest.

Thank you to St Martins Press and Sophie Sullivan for the arc!

This was a sweet love story set in a small town. A full cast of characters including a big loyal family. I found the story to be nice and easy to read. It never really had a spark for me and I found it hard to connect to the love story. I wanted to love it because second chance love is my favorite trope but it just didn’t ever pull me in. I enjoyed seeing the main character rising from a difficult past and all the characters were enjoyable. It just felt lacking depth for me. Also while this is considered a stand alone, I definitely think reading the previous book would have helped.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are mine alone.
