This is one of my favorite tropes and Playing for Keeps was done right. Erica and Johnny were great main characters and I like how they tried to resist eachother by making up rules. Thank you for the opportunity to read your book.

I have mixed feelings about this book. While I enjoy the romance and the addition of sports – who does not love an alpha male athlete? – I could not truly believe some of the reactions within the books. The interactions felt forced, not natural, Erika gives herself way to easy to Johnny, and there was not much of a natural chase, especially considering that Erika just settled a sexual harassment suit, which should made her a little more wary of any male, at least for a little while.
So, while I overall enjoyed the story, it could have been a lot better.

Humorous and sexy, but missing some complexity to the main characters for me.
