I devoured this book! Lyla you can do no wrong.
When I first started the Rebel Blue series I was a Emmy and Luke fan, but now after finishing this book - Teddy and Gus have my heart!
Their chemistry, the enemies to lovers vibe, and the forced proximity is just perfection. I had been waiting for their story!
I love that Teddy and Riley have a beautiful relationship, and Gus' reaction to them together is adorable. Teddy was always portrayed as a force to be reckoned with, but I loved her vulnerability in L+L and how Gus was simply just there for her.
I cannot wait for the next installment at Rebel Blue!

Loved this book! Lyla's book always make you feel like you're part of a family! I loved how we got tension in 2 books with teddy and Gus, so finally reading about them was such a treat!
So many people will be able to connect with the characters. ❤️

It was so good to be back at Rebel Blue Ranch. This was a quick and easy read which I loved.
The tension between Gus and Teddy 🔥 so damn good! "Teddy Baby"
"Yes Daddy" 🤭
The late night moments were my favourite 🥰
The relationship between Teddy and Riley was beautiful. Hank is the absolute sweetest man 🥹 and I loved seeing more of Teddy and Emmy's friendship.
These two just needed to find the right person to love and they found that with each other 🥰
I'm really looking forward to Cam and Dusty's story.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.75
omg omg guys this book was so fricken good I miss Gus and Teddy already 😭 it was funny, witty, cute, sexy and just so so enjoyable!! Lyla Sage you really out did yourself with this one 😩👏
This gave everything it needed to and more! The enemies to lovers plot was just so good.
Teddy my beautiful, strong, independent girl omg she was soo relatable in this. Her constant need to be there for everyone else and support them however they need yet not being able to allow herself the same luxury was just so real and raw. She was also so incredibly funny in this and I love how she loves 🥹
Gus oh my I never thought I’d like moustaches but I guess I only like them on August Ryder 😮💨 similar to Teddy, Gus is always talking care of others and carrying more responsibilities than any person should. Together they got to share their burdens and just be themselves and I thought it was super super sweet 🫶
Also the way this man talks has my heart melting 😩 who knew Gussy here would be such a softie! The “Teddy baby” actually has me in a chokehold 🧎♀️I love him and Teddy so much!
AND THE FIRST CHAPTER OF WILD AND WRANGLED!! LYLA PLEASE I NEED MORE OF DUSTY AND CAM IM SO DESPERATE!!
But I guess I’m saying bye to Rebel Blue for now and will try to be patient until April 😔
If you haven’t pre-ordered ‘Lost and Lassoed’ then just trust me and do it now. And if you haven’t started the ‘Rebel Blue Ranch’ series then literally what are you waiting for????
‘Lost and Lassoed’ comes out 5th of November! Thank you @hachetteaus and @netgalley for this ARC 💚

REVIEW: Lost and Lassoed by Lyla Sage
This book was everything I had been waiting for!! From the second I met Teddy and Gus in Done and Dusted I couldn’t wait for their book, AND LET ME TELL YOU it did not disappoint.
The banter was golden, and the fact that these two have loathed each other for years, made for a truly believable and angsty enemies to lovers trope. However, thanks to a little bit of forced proximity I love that once Teddy and August truly got to know each other they saw how similar they really are.
The way they both fell for each other in this book was just *chef’s kiss* truly poetic writing by Lyla Sage.
I adored the co-parenting relationship between Gus and Cam. It was so refreshing and well portrayed with many green flags flying.
This book had depth and emotion and I truly felt invested in these characters and their story. I also loved seeing more of Cam and Dusty and cannot wait for Wrangled and Wild!!
If you have read this please please slide into my DM’s because I need to talk about that ending!
I didn’t know the all tropes going into this and I was so freaking excited as they unfolded 🤭
💫Cowboy Romance
💫Single dad x Nanny
💫Enemies to Lovers
💫Forced Proximity
💫Grumpy x Sunshine
💫Best Friend’s Brother
Thankyou to Hachette Australia and Net Galley for this early review copy.

This is the best book in the series hands down!
The enemies to lovers, the grumpy x sunshine, the best friends brother, single dad x nanny and forced proximity are so delicious.
I devoured this book in less than 24 hours. Teddy Anderson and Gus Ryder have my heart!
I loved that the relationship between Emmy and Teddy was so realistic and relatable. This plot was easy to follow but the characters had such heart that I was completely invested!

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for gifting me a copy of this e-Arc. It was incredibly appreciated.
I was apprehensive about this book on my first read through (truthfully, I read this entire book in 6 hours the first time around). It was only on my second read through that I could properly appreciate this book for what it is.
I’ve made it no secret that Wes is my favourite brother (and I will die on this hill), but I must say that Teddy is currently my favourite fmc in this series.
Teddy’s struggles in this book felt real. She is like any twenty-something woman trying to find her place in life, and finding it hard to do so (I say this as a twenty-something woman myself). Add to this, sick family members, a sense of feeling lost and having troubles with her job - you can’t blame her for the upset that she is feeling for a large portion of this book.
Enter Gus, not exactly a knight in shining armour (he probably has more in common with a dragon guarding a castle) but the exact kind of knight that Teddy needed at the stage of life she’s in. Their chemistry felt organic and firey, and even though they were both hot headed in their own way, it worked nd I personally thought that they meshed together well.
Overall, this book gave me really wholesome ‘Schitt’s Creek’ small town vibes, and whilst Wes is still my favourite brother, seeing Teddy and Gus grow in this book from the people we met in Done and Dusted was truly a delight, and I’m excited for the next book in the series.
Keep going Lyla!

This is my favourite Lyla Sage book by far! I was absolutely obsessed! I literally couldn’t put it down - evident in the fact that I read this book in one day. Gus was dreamy and I love his grumpy nature. Also I always love a single parent - especially a hot single daddy. And Teddy was amazing. In the first two books we see a bubbly Teddy who isn’t affected by anything but this book perfectly highlighted how many layers a person truly has and how deep they go. Teddy and Gus are written to perfectly compliment one another which makes for a beautiful and magical relationship. And Gus is kinky! And we love to see it!
This book brings you a whole lot of spice, some cozy small town vibes and of course one of the dreamiest single dad cowboys on earth.

Teddy and Gus!!!! Ugh, this book couldn’t have been more perfect if it tried! I loved the slow journey from snarky hatred into a banter-filled steamy love. from the looks into Teddy’s character that we’ve had in the previous books, I knew I would love her but I really did not expect to resonate with her story as much as I actually did. I don’t think I've ever seen a character’s arc quite like this and my god did it stab me in the heart with how relatable it was. This has got to be my favourite book from the series so far, a must-read!

This was a great third book, my favourite couple so far! I love the country setting it makes it more swoony, Yee Haw!

Read if you like: cowboy romance, small town, enemies to lovers, best friends brother, single dad, 8 year age gap, he washes her hair
I knew I was going to like Gus and Teddy when the first conversation they had started with:
“Hey p*rnstache. Nice of you to join us.” “F*ck off, Theodora”
HAHAHAHA this little snip just shows what their banter is like, they argue constantly and are always looking for a fight 😂
Teddy had me laughing at times, and I loved her relationship with Riley. Gus is a hot single dad and a rancher. It was super refreshing to see parents having a great co-parenting relationship. I really liked that I didn’t have to hate Cam 😂
I think this book had a lot of potential, the romance felt underdeveloped and some parts went from 0 to 100 which I was kind of ehhh about. Also the bedroom talk was NOT it (I was trying so hard not to cringe 😬) and usually I love a dirty mouth 😫
Overall this was an okay book. Strong start to a meh finish

OH MY GOSH, I loved it, I truly loved it and let me tell you why!!! Before I get into it I want to preface this by saying..
this book is so much more than just a cowboy romance.. this is emotionally fulfilling, deep, it’ll have you giggling, it’ll have you crying & I can truly say I felt a similar connection to this book that I had with just for the summer by Abby Jimenez & I’m so happy to give this a 5 ⭐️ rating.
The tropes:
Well cowboy romance
- enemies to lovers ( a fav for me )
- Single dad
- Close proximity
- Small town romance
So basically we have Teddy who is best friends with Emmy, if you’ve read done and dusted then you know who some of these characters are.
Teddy has just lost her job and Emmy offers her a job to work as a nanny for her brother Gus.. but there’s a problem. Gus and Teddy do not like eachother like at all and they are not afraid to show that to eachother. Gus realises it’s his only option having Teddy there but Teddy needs to live with Gus a few days a week to help out with his daughter Riley…
So yeah, you can kinda imagine what happens but my gosh !!!!!! The banter, chemistry and the enemies to lovers part in this book was written so so well. I also had so many giggles. The spice was a good level for this genre I believe & I am truly in awe of this book.
I truly enjoyed all of the characters & enjoyed watching each of them grow throughout the book. I felt like Teddy and Gus were helping each other to heal and grow as individuals and with eachother along the way & I enjoyed every second of it.
Gus felt like a hot head but I loved it, he had so much dislike towards Teddy but then switched and was possessive kinda.. like jealous of her giving another man attention & IT WAS HOT. But don’t let the hard exterior fool you because this man has a guarded soft heart and he is a total sweetheart when he allows himself to feel, open up and let his walls down. His character development was truly incredible & his sweet heart and caring nature shone through when he felt safe enough to do so. OMG AND ONE MORE THING THIS DAMN MAN!!! He just ah, he has my heart. Teddy arrived one night to his house but Riley was at a sleepover & he noticed Teddy didn’t feel well but she had first day of her monthly so this man… sits her down on the couch and comes back with a damn heating pad & a bottle of midol which Is a specific period pain killer.
Teddy our FMC is sassy, goofy & a badass to say the least. She reads smut too which I love 😂 But Teddy was a girl in her twenties trying to navigate life when all her friends were moving forward and she felt like she was stuck. It was relatable and I loved it. Teddy underneath was also lost & afraid of moving on with her life incase it meant leaving her dad to look after himself. Teddy had been her dad’s carer since she was in college and she’s now 28, her dad was in and out of hospitals. Teddy’s dad is basically her everything apart from Emmy (her bestfriend) teddy’s mum was never in the picture because she chose to leave. Teddy felt guarded most of the book, it presented as though she felt she couldn’t show emotion for the sake of others, she felt the need to be strong for others.. that was relatable to me. So Teddy also has a huge heart but is clouded by fear rightfully so.
I really enjoyed how we got to know the characters and their lives deeply while watching them grow and entering a beautiful, wholesome relationship they both truly deserved in which they felt safe with eachother & a love they had only dreamt of.

Wow! Lost and Lassoed is a book that has a little bit of everything - fast-paced, funny, and light-hearted romance! Set in the world of the Rebel Blue Ranch novels, this story intertwines the best friend's older brother, cowboys, and forced proximity, along with other familiar tropes. The tension between the love interests had me screaming at the pages with anticipation, but their relationship wasn’t the only one I loved. Sage does an amazing job of writing not just romantic relationships, but also platonic and parental relationships. This was a really enjoyable read that ticked every box for me and I would wholly recommend it to anyone who adores a small-town, enemies-to lovers romance.

Give me a grumpy single dad cowboy and I will eat that up everytime!
August ‘Gus’ Ryder has always hated his sisters best friend Theordora ‘Teddy’ Anderson and the feeling is mutual. Every chance they get they antagonize and throw hilarious insults at eachother.
Until one summer when Teddy loses her job and Gus is in desperate need of a Nanny to help out with his daughter Riley. Who better for the job than the woman he hates. Teddy adores his daughter and while he’s less then pleased about the situation he agrees she is the best fit for the job.
As they begin to spend more time together they realize they have more in common and relate to eachother on an emotional level.
The tension, banter and chemistry was sizzling.
Teddy was so relatable with her internal struggles of not being where she expected at this phase of her life and the changes to her friendship with Emmy as they got older.

Wow wow wow, you really dive straight in with this one. Two big personalities a crazy, loud, fun loving red head and a quiet grumpy cowboy, who has dimples but only grunts and never smiles. With Teddy out of a job and Gus who carries the weight of the world on his shoulders, who is forced to delegate some of that stress, they’re forced into having to coexist even though they can’t stand each other. This story gives off all of the juicy forced proximity, enemies to lovers vibes and I am SO here for it. It’s spicy, it’s heartwarming and I couldn’t devour it quick enough 😮💨 5/5 stars, thanks for blessing us with the read we needed Lyla! 🤍

Lyla has done it again with book 3 in the Rebel Blue Ranch series. I read Done and Dusted earlier in the year and Lyla quickly became a favourite author for me so I have been so keen to continue this series with the characters we have loved. As much as I loved the first 2 books, I was slightly apprehensive about this one as I don't really enjoy enemies to lovers but Lyla just has a way with writing that made me love it. It was great to see Gus and Teddy's love story bloom and to also see how the other characters lives were moving along. This book will definitely be one of my top picks of the year and now I can't wait for book 4!

4.5 ✨ Thank you to NetGalley and Hachette Aus/NZ for a copy of this eARC to review.
THIS BOOK ATE AND LEFT NO CRUMBS!!! As soon as I finished reading it I immediately wanted to pick it back up again 😫 I knew from the first book that Teddy and Gus’ story would be my favourite. I felt a kinship with Teddy from the moment we met her and the single dad trope will always be my #1.
In this book Teddy has lost her job and Gus is overworked and struggling to keep up with his work/life balance whilst raising his daughter, Riley, while her mum is out of town for the summer. Enter Teddy as his nanny and the perfect enemies to lovers/close proximity is born.
Teddy is one of my favourite female characters I have read to date - her fierceness, her independence, her sparkle, her loyalty, her sarcasm - what a girl 💥
Gus Ryder is your typical older brother, over protective asshole who is secretly the softest, kindest, most precious man on this planet and if my future baby daddy doesn’t raise our daughter like Gus Ryder does then I don’t want it 😤 The tension and obvious longing between Teddy and Gus was toe curling and I loved every moment of it.
I also loved the scenes we got of Teddy and Emmy and how they navigated their changing relationship. I loved the little snippets of Wes and Ada and Amos and Brooks and Hank AND DON’T GET ME STARTED ON CAM AND DUSTY 😩
Lyla Sage stepped up her game big time with Lost Lassoed and the authors note at the end made me love this book 10x more! BRING ON WILD AND WRANGLED!!

Very easily became my favourite in the series. I just knew Teddy and Gus would have my whole heart, and they have achieved just that.
There is something so special about Lyla’s writing and the characters she creates, I’m forever grateful to have been given the opportunity to read this.

Lost and Lassoed you were an absolute blessing!! This was my favourite book of the Rebel Blue Ranch Series, and dare I say it, one of my favourite books of the whole year. I found this to be genuinely so so funny, but also so heartfelt and sweet. This follows Teddy and Gus in a true enemies to lovers, where Teddy offers to look after Gus’s 6 year old daughter when things get really busy at work for him. He doesn’t want to, as he can’t stand Teddy (aka his little sisters best friend) but he decides he doesn’t have much of a choice. But as they start to spend more time together, they realise they have more in common then they thought. This is such a great story, with a real family aspect, and Gus’s daughter is so sweet and funny. I love the female friendships in this as well and the relationship that blossoms between the two main characters. I can’t recommend this book enough!!

This book is my favourite in the series! I was addicted from page 1, and Lyla Sage certainly did not disappoint with Teddy and Gus ! They are now my favourite couple, and their story was full of tension and banter and had me giggling the whole way through.
