A story of Rahab told from through the eyes of her niece, brings this bible story to life in a way appropriate for children ages 8-12. It hints at some of the evils of the city, but your child will not know what it was if they don't know the story well already.

Centered around the Biblical event of the fall of Jericho, this story is from the perspective of a little girl who has grown up in the city. Evil abounds around them, but her parents try to protect her as much as they can. One day, some strangers visit her aunt, and word filters down to her that an enemy army is on their way. When the army comes to camp outside their city, the tension grows even worse—will any of them escape?

Written for children, this is a fascinating take on Biblical history. It will help young readers understand better what the Canaanite cities were like before the Israelites came in, and also provide a good backdrop to explain other Biblical history. Highly recommended!

I requested a review copy of this book, and this is my honest opinion of it.

It wasn't as if I didn't enjoy this one but I wasn't the target audience for it, hence the 3. I'm sure lovers of HF would love.
