A comprehensive resource from the Biblical Counseling Coalition. This argues for the Bible's sufficiency, necessity, authority, and relevance in addressing life's complexities in a broken world. Divided into two parts, it first builds a theological foundation for viewing Scripture as central to counseling, covering topics like psychology's role, the body's place, and historical precedents. The second part offers practical methodologies, including using various biblical genres and fostering church-based counseling.
Strengths include its collaborative wisdom from 20 ministry leaders, robust endorsements, and real-life applications, such as integrating preaching and counseling.

Helpful book on the sufficiency of scripture on life's issues... and how to tell if you are mixing in secular worldview and thinking and why not to. Useful for every christian as well or professional counselors. The hard part is over simplifying issues or going a rote answer, but a book can't answer every question.
