I love platypi! I mean, platypodes! Platypuses? There's no right or wrong way to pluralize these magnificent Australian marsupials, but that doesn't mean that I won't enjoy books like Rebecca Hirsch's excellent introduction to the species. The reading level and quality of images provided are consistent with other Lerner books for young readers, and the content is broken up into easily digestible tidbits. If your library has room in its collection for obscure animals, this would make a fantastic addition!
