This is the first book I have read in this series and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The storyline was interesting and I quickly came to love both Crispin and Abril and the fact that she is his life mate. It has a unique spin on paranormals that I enjoyed. Danger is closer than they realize but it is eventually neutralized. It’s well written and held my attention. It’s a story worth reading. I am amazed that this is book #37 in this series and the first was in 2005.

WOW! I have been reading the Immortals for more years than either Ms. Sands or I would probably like to admit. This has to be one of the best in the bunch. It is unique. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.
Abril is such a refreshingly different mortal life-mate. She is intelligent, confident, and still sweet. She has a few flaws, but don't we all. She really set big, bad, alpha Lucian back a step or two - many times! Crispin is one lucky man. Oh, and speaking of Crispin, he is one teddy bear of an immortal, and man all man.
With writing like this, it's no wonder that I devour these books as quickly as they are available!

This is book 37 in the Argeneau series by Lynsey Sands. Each book is a standalone but set in the same world. This book is about Crispin, an immortal rogue enforcer who meets a mortal woman, Abril, when he is sent as a police detective to investigate bones found on the her boss’ property she is house sitting. This is a paranormal romantic suspense where an immortal finds his mate. This book is funny and emotional and exciting. I enjoyed this couple. Thanks to NetGalley and Harper Collins for letting me read this book in exchange for an honest review.

I've been a fan of this series. From the beginning, the stories are well written, easy to follow, and a fresh and unique way each immortal finds their life mate is a given the romance is hot but balanced with the action and suspenseful intrigue each couple must overcome to get their happy ever after there will always be a abundance of past characters showing up and showing out to help keep things interesting and entertaining.

I really enjoyed this book. Sometimes when a series has been around for SO long, like this one has, the stories just start to wither and die but not this series. At this point I can't always remember who is who when it comes to the veteran characters, but I'm enjoying reading about the new ones and more importantly I like that the author doesn't seem to recycle characters. Kudos to Sands for keeping this series lively and interesting!

One of my favorite things about the Argeneau books is that they are so fast paced, the couple is usually together quickly, and the book is devoted to them getting to know each other and facing some sort of challenge that throws them together. This works for me, and I love getting right down to it without a bunch of faffing about with various plot devices. Abril and Crispin came together quickly, and their chemistry was explosive, though they struggled with communication. I loved seeing their interactions especially after Crispin's family came on the scene as well. The fast pace of the book kept me engaged and I found the plot entertaining. My only real complaint here is that the ending felt rather abrupt and not as final or satisfying as I wanted it to be, though it was still a firm HEA. Otherwise, I really liked this story, and I can only hope we'll continue to get more installments in this series so I can indulge in some more escapism.

Immortal by Morning was a fun and steamy read with just the right mix of mystery, romance, and humor. I loved the setup—Abril is house-sitting when she stumbles across human bones in the garden, and that kicks off a wild ride. Enter Crispin, an immortal rogue enforcer and homicide detective who quickly realizes Abril is his life mate. The chemistry between them is great, and Crispin’s attempts to win her over while solving a murder had me smiling more than once.

Even though I haven’t read the rest of the series, I was able to follow along just fine. There are cameos from other characters, which longtime readers will enjoy, but new readers won’t feel lost. The romance is a slow burn but satisfying, and the added paranormal twist made it extra fun. If you enjoy fated mates, immortals, and a bit of murder mystery, this one’s worth reading!

I couldn’t put this book down.

I have been a fan of the Argeneau Series since book one. So, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book. It was just as good as I expected.

In this book we meet immortal, Crispin Delacort, when Abril Newman, who is house sitting for her boss, discovers bones in the yard. Crispin is a detective assigned to the case. What Crispin and his partner discover was not what they expected. Turns out a rogue immortal is on the loose and this was the burial ground for the victims. This is an exciting book with the hunt and capture of the rogue and seeing Crispin and Abril, who are life mates, fall in love.

I was blessed to be able to receive an ARC of this book. I am a huge Lynsay Sands fan, especially her Argeneau Series. I love the concept of how they become immortal and knowing the signs of meeting their life mate. This one starts off with our fmc Abril house and dog sitting for her boss, when the dog picks up on bodies buried in the garden. That's when we meet our mmc Crispin, he happens to be an immortal detective. I don't want to give too much away, but I highly recommend this one as well as this whole series. I've read them all, and she never disappoints. 🥰

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC! 🤗

Immortal by Morning is a sexy , manic romp that will have you laughing and sweating by measure.
Crispinus Delacort is an immortal rogue enforcer and a homicide detective. There aren’t a whole lot of murders in London Ontario and he’s bored. At almost three thousand years old he’s seen the worst of humanity and if it wasn’t for his siblings his interest in the world would have passed a long time ago. Now he has a mass murder scene and discovered his possible lifemate. Abril Newman has trust issues and isn’t going to make it easy for him. Crispin has no idea how to woo a modern woman and his efforts had me rolling. All this while trying to find a mass murderer.
I can promise a hilarious and steamy romp.

I have not read others in this series, so I was missing some background on the characters. Though I believe this is the first book for the FMC and the MMC had previously been a side character. Overall, I enjoyed the story and the mystery, the spice was good but more of a slow burn. Now I need to go back and read the others! One Day...

There is nothing quite as relaxing as reading a Lynsay Sands book after work. I started reading this series after the first book came out and have read every book since. This is book 37 in the series and while you don’t need to read every single book in the series, there are some connections to other books as it’s mostly centered around a very large extended family. And this book talks about a member of the family.
I also love this series so I’m taking this a chance to convince you to read this book and the whole series.
In this book we meet Abril, our FMC, who is house and dog sitting for her boss while she is in another country. It is the dog that initiates our story because she discovers bones in the garden. The garden was described as unattractive and mostly under construction as Gina, the boss, wanted it to become an extension on her house. What she thought was one body became more and our MMC, Crispin, was the detective on the case.

Crispin discovers rather quickly that she is his life mate and works to not only solve the case but to win the heart of our Abril. It’s very close to being an instant love trope but with an added twist of a mystery in the background.
I don’t want to give too much of the plot away but I loved this book. One of my top 5 characters is in this book and that grumpy man just makes me smile every time he yells. I’ve read 37 books in this series and I will continue to do so until the very end. I love how Lynsay Sands writes her characters. You just fall in love with every one (minus the naughty ones) and want to read their stories as well. Thank you so much for this opportunity! I cannot wait to buy it to support Lynsay Sands.

Thank you NetGalley, Avon and Harper Voyager, and Lynsay Sands for the opportunity to read and review this book!

Immortal by Morning Book by Lynsay Sands 🏠🦮🌙🪏❤️‍🔥- These are my personal reviews!

Rating 5/5 😊: Fantastically paced. Thrilling story. Character development was amazing. Not vampires but immortals with vampire tendencies, interesting. I found the plot to be easily followed. Typically, I don’t like an instant love but this was good!! I definitely won’t ever turn down a fated mates trope though. I was unaware of that particular trope so that was a pleasant surprise!

Spice: 3/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️ You don’t get every detail but you get plenty. How detailed can you be if both are losing consciousness?🤣

Overall Review: I often choose books by the cover but in this case, I did not do that. I flew in blind based off the title! Anything paranormal, I’m on that. You get a touch of murder mystery and romance all wrapped up into one story. The only downside to this story was wanting some form of epilogue about Abril and Crispin!!! Crispin was determined to earn the privilege of Abril’s presence. Abril was falling more and more by the second. This story did have a meet-cute in the best way. It was cute. It had a mostly HEA. I would rec this to anyone who has an interest in several of the same genres as me! It was a great mix of all things I love. 🥳

This book releases on July 29th.👀👀

A fun, exciting and suspenseful read! Steamy, well-written, and engaging. I read this book straight thru without stopping. I liked that multiple past characters showed up to help our main characters out. I like that we get peeks into past characters lives. I have read all previous books in this series. I have read almost everything that Lynsay Sands has written. She is one of my all-time favorite paranormal authors and I just love her books across subgenres. The characters were likeable, frustrating at times, and relatable in their own ways. Ms. Sands is a master at world building for being able to have created such a large universe of people and yet be able to keep people, settings, and information intact. I love that she has created multiple family trees on her site to help you to know how everyone is connected to each other.

I always love how the reveal to the non-immortal life mate is dealt with. It gives a chance for people who haven't read other stories in this series to find out how Ms. Sands has brought about her own twist to the "Vampire" lore. I love that their wasn't much of any relationship drama. Their didn't agonize over their feelings for each other with manufactured conflict.

Can't wait to read the next entry in this fascinating series by the Lynsay Sands. This book is an example of Lynsay Sands doing what she does best, blending humor, romance, and a little murder mystery into a compelling story.

I really enjoyed this book. I think it was refreshing and fun. I laughed and smiled so much reading it. I haven't read all the books in series and I don't think you would need to. You will visit characters from other stories but it's a stand alone book. Take time to enjoy this book!

Every time I finish the most recent book in this series, I feel like I'm temporarily leaving behind a group of people I've known for years.

Book 37 in the Argeneau series, Immortal by Morning, is the most recent book in the series. Abril is housesitting for her boss and discovers a body buried in the yard while out walking the dog. Crispin, an Immortal Enforcer, is currently working as a homicide detective and is assigned the case. In the midst of the investigation, Crispin realizes Abril is his life mate and there might be a rogue lurking in the shadows.

The difference in how vampires came to be and their weakness and abilities makes these books lighter than other PNR vampire books I've read, but there are still moments of danger. Since Immortals essentially have fated mates, this book is absolutely instant lust/love which helps avoid the dreaded 3rd act breakup trope that I don't really care for in a lot of romance novels. While this is an ongoing series, the books stand alone, the romance and conflict specific to the book are fully resolved, and obviously since I've read through the series multiple times, the world is one I want to visit again.

This series is one of my comfort reads and has been since I first met the Argeneau family back in 2004 or so. When I find a series I enjoy, I go back and re-read all the books from the beginning before shortly before a new one comes out. At this point, I've read some of the books in the series over 30 times and still enjoy them as much as I did the first time. I'm looking forward to future books in this world so I can start the journey all over again.

Thank you, Avon and Harper Voyager publishing, for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All thoughts and options are my own.

So what is there to say other than I already finished it?!

Ah we have a millennial. I love the stories that are about the older ones. They fall so hard.

Crispinus….I love it

Currently a detective our main man crush, I mean character.. is also a rogue hunter. This scene was an ordinary case until life isn’t so meh anymore…

Abril… beautiful

She may not be as modern as he thinks. She grew up rough and as a result is realllllly independent. She’s also seriously down to earth.

Uncle Lucien ah he’s always such a sunny personality ;) we love him really!

This book just like every single one will have you laughing, panting, overheated, happy, and in love from start to finish. I have NEVER been disappointed by Lynsay Sands. I think that she’s the bomb for being able to have such a wide universe of people and yet able to keep people, settings, information intact. I am always hungry for her next. Thank you for always bringing life to reading.

Thank you so much NetGalley for allowing me the opportunity to read this ARC from one of my all time FAVORITE 🖤 authors

Good story, quick to the point. Not quite rushed but I definitely noticed the faster pace of this story than you do in most books. The guys caught the rogue I felt pretty quickly, then we got almost like a second story. The rogue’s story was just crazy.
This book is good, but it felt off from the rest of the series. It fits, but doesn’t. We have Lucian of course, Becker, and Andrés they are pretty prominent in the series. I don’t know, things seem left out in this book. I don’t know exactly what is missing but something is. And I have questions that the ending doesn’t answer!
For some reason I can’t stop thinking of the layout of this house. I can’t figure out where anything is, usually I can kinda get a mental picture of the houses but not this time. It shouldn’t bother me but it is.
Crispin. Needs to learn to communicate better, he was talking in circles to Abril all the time.

I've always loved Ms. Sands' books about the Argeneau's and the immortals (never call them Vampires!). And this was no exception. I loved this book too. It had fewer amorous scenes than some of her past books, and I appreciated that. What did make me go from a 5-star rating to a 4-star rating was that the plot was a bit convoluted and came across as confusing. It was a bit slapdash with no true conclusion to Abril and Crispin's relationship.

I did love how Lucien got involved along wth many of the past male characters. Lilith the dog was the cherry on the sundae!

It's a perfect light escapist read, just like the Scottish books (a separate series) and the rest of this series. I love them all!
