This was a great start to the story and drew me in right away. I'm looking forward to seeing how it progresses.

Was not able to review due to personal medical emergency/recovery

I'm going to be completely honest, I think this book missed its marl with me. I didn't know it was part of another series when I got it from netgallery. I think the other books in the series were vitally important when reading this one as there was obviously an ongoing theme that I couldn't quite understand. 

The book was a great introduction to the two main characters but other than that I really didn't get the hang of the world or the supernatural aspect. 

I will look to rereview this when I've caught up with the rest of the series as I do not feel that I can give a thorough review until I read the other books in the series.
