Growing up as the pastor's daughter, Everly has lived the perfect life with the perfect family in the perfect home, or so everyone thinks. Everly has been living a lie for the last year and it is tearing her apart.

Trevor had everything going for him when he made a bad choice that forever changed his life. After the coma and the months of rehab, he still sometimes has trouble putting his words in the right order. He is feeling like he has lost everything and nothing comes easy for him anymore. Although Everly agrees to tutor him, their past history with each other makes for a rough beginning. As they work together and start to reveal bits of what each of them are going through, they begin to realize how hard they are both struggling to find Some Kind of Normal.

Such a beautiful, touching story told in alternating perspectives. It paints a painfully realistic portrait of the emotional turmoil each of the characters are experiencing. It is completely believable and overflowing with honesty that made me feel truely connected to the characters. This is definitely a coming of age story that should not be missed.

Some Kind of Normal is a beautiful contemporary novel that will definitely bring out the feels. It has alternating perspectives, plot twits and secrecy. This book will keep you guessing.

One of the features I really enjoyed in Some Kind of Normal is the alternating perspectives. I am a huge fan of books that have multiple narrators because I feel like it gives the book a deeper meaning. In this particular book, the different points of view are helpful, because you can learn the totally different emotions that both of the main characters are feeling. I think that this adds a layer to the story that makes the book its own.

I loved the element of mystery and all of the tension and suspense! There were a few really cute parts in this book that distracted me from the traumatic experiences of the main characters, however, which I appreciated. These components combined make this book a real page-turner!

Some Kind of Normal is a fast-paced story that will engage and entertain its readers.
