Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me access to this ARC.
This picture book is a sweet sibling story featuring adorable axolotls! The bright colours and silly rhymes will delight kids, and the way the siblings resolve their issues with a hug and a cry will help parents a-lot-l.

A cute story about a sister and brother who mostly like to do things together but sometimes have quibbles. The illustrations are super cute!
Thanks NetGalley for this ARC.

This is so cute and even more clever!! Both a silly way to get more familiar with words and an adorable way to get more familiar with Axolotls, I'll be looking for this one to add to my son's library!
I highly recommend this to anyone, especially those w a little who loves axolotls. (Or a mom who wants their littles to love axolotls bc she does bc why wouldn't you?? (me! that mom is me!))
{Thank you bunches to Sourcebooks Jabberwocky, Jess Hitchman, Sarah Rebar and NetGalley for the DRC in exchange for my honest review!}

This book was so cute. Would make for a fun read aloud in a classroom with all the fun puns and play on words. Would also be a good book for siblings who could not be more different.
Thanks- alotle for you for this advanced copy to review - my kids enjoyed it.

This is a cute story about siblings, and I like that it showcases the differences between them, There are however about 15 too many puns. It was clever at first but then distracted from the story.

WOWOWOWOWOW. This is so cuteeeeee!! I def want to get this for all my friends that have more than one kid. I think children would love this so much.

This book is so cute! Take it from an axolotl owner, this book is great!
I love the play on words with the axolotl and axolittle. The rhythm of the rhyming word is fun to say and read out loud!
Love the plot and the conclusion!
Great illustration. The resolution seems like it could use one more step in there. Something focusing on the siblings thinking about how they love the other or feel. But the book makes sense and is still a good read with out that.

This was such a cute children's book about two Axolotl siblings who have a squabble and then learn to make up. I loved all the axolotl puns! The illustrations were colorful and whimsical and I especially enjoyed that the primary parent in the story was the father figure! I read it to my kids (one of whom is OBSESSED with axolotls) and they loved it too! Highly recommended! Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review!

Thank you for the ARC. I absolutely loved the play on words and rhymes. When I requested this book, I wasn’t sure what to expect but I’m so happy I did. It made me grin-a-lot, haha.

Netgalley ARC - This is a cute spunky book with fun word play and lots of love. I think the cover is extra cute and I like the color scheme

This is a cute rhyming picture book, but it is so bright and has so much energy! This is one of those books where you're grinning while you read, and that would be exciting to read aloud and interact with kids. And then in the end, there was a sweet family moment. Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this

Axolotl and Axolittle by Jess Hitchman may be one of the cutest rhyming books I’ve ever read. I love the illustrations, I love the characters, I love the play on words, and I love the message…. ALOT-L! When the siblings squabble, Dad jumps in to save the day and all is right in the axolotl family once again.
Thank you to NetGalley for this adorable story that will be a welcome addition to any classroom library or bedtime read aloud collection.

Homeschool mom honest review!
We read this for bed time tonight and my son (and me) loved it! The whole book is full of fun rhymes, Jess Hitchman put in the WORK to find so many ways to rhyme words with Axolotl and Axolittle. My son is not always the most engaged reader, but the is story is fun and had him trying to guess what the next rhymes were going to be. Axolotl (big sister) and Axolittle (baby brother) are relatable characters that any brother and sister duo can see themselves in!
Pre-order Axolotl and Axolittle today! On shelves July 8th!
Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks for this ARC!

I love love loved this book. First of all-this is the dynamic of my household. My daughter is a little older and very loud. My son loves her until something happens. This is a great book about sibling squabbles and you know what I love the best? That it’s not mom who saves the day. About time someone else steps up!
Also there are very cute illustrations.
Thank you SourceBooks Kids, Jess Hitchman and NetGalley for this ARC. All opinions stated are my own.
