Lacey will do anything to rescue her so much so that she tracks down a man she hasn't seen in sixteen years, U.S. Marshall Mason Stone. We s soon learn, unbeknownst to him, that he is the father of her child. Mason had no idea he’d fathered a child and was perfectly content with his life until Lacey arrived. Now, together they are racing to unravel the why behind Bethany’s kidnapping as they embark on a tense and emotional journey to save their daughter. The quest results in confronting buried secrets and dealing with old and nearly forgotten feelings. Will Lacey and Mason get the chance for happiness as a family, or is it too late?
Eason kept the tension high from start to finish and the narrator was quite dramatic. I highly recommend the audio version.

Great story that will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout. You will be invested from the very first page, rooting for justice and trying to figure out whodunnit. Twists and turns throughout that will keep you guessing to the very end. Narration was great and really brought the story to life!

Missing by Lynette Eason
Missing is a Christian romantic suspense novel that explores themes of redemption, trust, and the enduring bonds of family. The story follows Lacey Gibson, whose daughter disappears under mysterious circumstances. Desperate for help, Lacey turns to U.S. Marshal Mason Stone—who, unbeknownst to him, is actually the father of her child. Together, they set out on a tense and emotional journey to find their daughter, confronting buried secrets and reigniting old feelings along the way.
I had the opportunity to listen to the audiobook early thanks to NetGalley. It was a thrilling read that kept me hooked with its unexpected twists and turns. I couldn’t stop coming back to see what would happen next!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 Stars (Outstanding)
Setting: Small Southern Town
Genre: Christian Fiction; Romantic Suspense
Missing is a heart-pounding, emotionally charged romantic suspense that had me hooked from the very first page. Lynette Eason masterfully weaves together high-stakes action, complex emotions, and second-chance romance in a story that feels both intensely personal and thrillingly unpredictable.
Lacey Gibson is a compelling heroine—resilient, determined, and driven by the fierce love of a mother. When her daughter vanishes, her desperation is palpable, and her willingness to confront the past, especially by seeking out U.S. Marshal Mason Stone, is both courageous and deeply moving. Mason, for his part, is equally well-drawn: a man of honor forced to grapple with the sudden revelation that he has a daughter he never knew existed.
Their shared quest to find their child is filled with nail-biting tension and just the right amount of emotional vulnerability. Eason’s pacing is spot-on, alternating between fast-moving danger and quieter, emotionally resonant moments that reveal the depth of Lacey and Mason’s connection. The chemistry between them crackles, and their growth—individually and as a potential couple—is believable and satisfying.
What sets Missing apart is how Eason balances the suspense with genuine emotional stakes. This isn’t just a story about a missing child—it’s about trust, forgiveness, and the courage it takes to face the past in order to build a future.
Whether you’re a longtime fan of romantic suspense or a newcomer to the genre, Missing is an absolute must-read. It’s a powerful reminder that even in the darkest moments, love and hope can shine through. #netgalley #missing #booked_this_weekend

From the description of this book, I assumed it would be another mystery involving a man who doesn’t know that he fathered a child with a woman, only to learn years later when a daughter disappears. My problem with this book is the religious overtones that were peppered throughout the book. Definitely a turn off for me.

Eason knows how to keep tension high, but you need to accept that a mom and a Marshall on medical leave would be given access to police files and help investigate their missing daughter. This is a new audio of a novel written earlier in her career, which may explain the procedural anomalies. Reliance on a loving God and praying are strong threads throughout the story. The narration is good and especially shines when emotions run high. Purchase where Eason titles are popular.
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for a review audiobook. All opinions expressed are my own.
