This story was not very realistic but I totally enjoyed it. First of all, I don’t like a damsel in distress story, but this one was so well written that I was able to overlook it. It is a true fantasy story.
Many thanks to Tobann Publications and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

I went into Exposure thinking it would be the typical billionaire read.... this book turned out to be SO much more. CJ’s story had me crying like a baby.
If you are looking for hot read with and actual story that will pull at the emotion strings then this is the book for you.

DNF.....this book wasn't for me. I won't be formally reviewing or rating this book. It has nothing to do with the author or writing, I just couldn't connect with the story.

The first book in the Exposure trilogy by Annie Jocoby an amazing way to start! Exposure is a Suspenseful Romantic Erotic story. CJ and Asher pull you in quickly and hold on tightly. Even work in making you want more from them.. This was one of them reads that kept me wanting more.

EXPOSURE - Annie Jocoby
EROTICA WITH A PHOBIA TWIST - 3 stars
Plot - 3 stars - We meet CJ just as she's reaching the end of her rope in dealing with her agoraphobia. There's a traumatic event in her past that has triggered this disability, and she is unable to continue to work as a photographer. After 6 months, she's now running out of savings and needs to do something drastic to get beyond this. Enter Asher, a billionaire who has inexplicably become attracted to her out of the blue. He has a mysterious secret in his past also, and it seems as though he understands her problem and is trying to help her. CJ is attracted to him (who wouldn't be?) because he's sexy and hot and handsome, but she's fighting it because she fears falling for him when he's simply trying to make a "business arrangement." I've got to say, however, I had to take off a half a star simply because this ends in a cliff-hanger, one of my pet peeves.
Writing - 3 stars - The plot idea is intriguing, but the writing is somewhat simplistic, meaning the conversations come across as almost too blunt. There doesn't seem to be a lot of finesse to the writing. The sex scenes are definitely hot, but they are frank and kind of matter-of-fact. For instance, CJ comments, "we continue to have over-the-moon sex all the time." OK, sounds practical, not a lot of romance there.
Characters - 2.5 stars - CJ has a major phobia that is totally affecting her life, but she doesn't have the money or the knowledge to overcome it on her own. We feel for her, but without knowing the story behind it, it's kind of hard to get a handle on the problem. Rather than building the tension, the little bits of information she reveals simply makes her seem like she's making a mountain out of molehill. When Asher finally tells her his back story, it all makes a lot more sense. Until then, though, he seems pretty bumbling for a supposed high roller. He's sexually obsessed with CJ, for no apparent reason that we know of, so he's kind of a one-note character. I couldn't really warm up to either of them. I had some trouble with CJ throughout the book. She supposedly totally loved and depended on her friend Scarlett when said friend supported her and helped her with her phobia. But when Asher came calling, she was out the door with hardly a backward glance. The later explanation seemed a little lame. It surely would have annoyed the heck out of me. And then CJ supposedly has a journalism background, but when she's faced with doubts about Asher's background, she hasn't a clue how to investigate except to talk to his ex. That didn't seem like it could possibly be productive. It just seemed an odd approach to me.
Title - 4 stars - Very good title that's an interesting play on words. There's the fear of exposure that CJ faces as she tries to deal with (or not deal with) her past and then with Asher's past. Plus the nod to her photography job is obvious. Clever.
Cover - 2.5 stars - The cover on my version is a man's head shot. Not sure why. I assume it's Asher's face, but the book is mainly about CJ, not him. It didn't fit the story.
Overview - 3 stars - This was a quick read, although I'll admit that the many many typing and grammatical errors were a bit distracting. I enjoyed the story despite my ambivalence about the main characters. It was a little different, and I found it interesting to learn a little more about agoraphobia and its effects and treatment. I will look for more from this author.

Right off the bat let me say that this book has one heck of a cliff hanger that will completely take you by surprise. It is the first in a three part series, which you'll find yourself completely committed to continuing with the remaining books once you're done reading this story.
The characters are well defined, the premise of the story is not a new one, damsel in distress, hot rich guy to her rescue...where it differs are the characters themselves. The dialog is a bit stiff at times, the bedroom scenes were a difficult to get thru, but once you get into the story, those things don't seem to matter.
This book was provided by the Publisher and Netgalley, I am voluntarily providing my honest review.
