An Intriguing Premise, But A Bit Uneven
"Until We Meet Again" by Renee Collins offered a truly compelling premise that immediately grabbed my attention. The idea of a character being thrust into a past life and navigating the complexities of identity and love across time is fascinating, and for the most part, Collins executes it with a good deal of emotional resonance. I found myself genuinely invested in Cassandra's journey and her struggle to reconcile her present self with her past. The historical details felt well-researched, and the descriptions of the early 20th century were vivid and transporting.
However, despite its strengths, the execution felt a little uneven at times, preventing it from truly soaring. The pacing, while generally good, occasionally dragged in sections, particularly in the middle, where some of the internal monologues felt a bit repetitive. While I appreciated the emotional depth, some of the romantic developments felt a tad rushed or perhaps too convenient, especially considering the extraordinary circumstances. I wanted a little more organic build-up in certain relationships. There were also a few plot points that stretched my suspension of disbelief a bit more than I would have liked, even within the context of a fantastical premise.
Ultimately, "Until We Meet Again" is a solid read with a unique and engaging concept that will appeal to fans of historical romance with a speculative twist. It's a testament to Collins' writing that even with these minor quibbles, I was still invested enough to want to see how it all unfolded. It just didn't quite hit that five-star mark for me, leaving me wishing for a bit more polish in certain areas. Good, but not great.

A time travel story about young love, the possibility of forever, and a surprise ending that changes everything.
Some questions remain but that happens with time travel stories. Young love and the hope of staying connected forever.

Until We Meet Again by Renee Collins
I'm a huge fan of time travel romances, so I was excited to get my hands on Until We Meet Again! There's a little bit of everything in this story: romance, mystery, time travel, and more! This is definitely the book to hands lovers of sci-fi who might be interested in something new, as it blends sci-fi with historical fiction really well. I loved the glimpse into the 1920s. Cassandra goes through some great evolution in this book, going from a whiny and very unlikable character to someone more mature and worth rooting for. The ending was really sad, and that's my only real complaint. I saw it coming, but was hoping the author came up with something different. Overall, though, it was well-written and an interesting mix of time travel and historical fiction!

This is a fun YA time travel-ish book. I loved the idea of them having a relationship across times, and the fact that they could only be together at the beach. This will definitely appeal to teens.

Thank you for the opportunity to read and review. Unfortunately I am unable to give you a proper review. I apologize for the inconvenience. I am just no longer interested to read this book. I appreciate the approval.
