The concept of this book is great and, barring a couple of stretches of the imagination, well plotted.
Hannah has escaped her abusive father, married the man of her dreams and lives a lavish lifestyle. Her sister has not fared quite as well and has two children by different fathers which she is raising alone. Hannah and Julie are close, having survived a traumatic childhood and Hannah helps her sister with money, cars and what have you. One day, the sister, Justine, calls and asks if Hannah or her husband might have an old laptop she could borrow as hers has died. Hannah finds an old laptop in her husband's desk but attached is a jump drive. Unsure of it's importance, Hannah plugs in the drive and is shocked to see a pornographic video in which her husband is taking part.
As she watches, horrified, her husband, Dallin, walks into the room, grabs her and tries to choke her. Hannah is frightened and in the next couple of days, her world begins to deteriorate as she is followed, threatened and, eventually, rescued by a man named Black who follows her from a hotel and sees her being attacked.
Hannah, her life in danger, has no choice but to trust Black and he does his best to protect her - maybe. It's all mysterious and crazy - until it gets even crazier. Some new cliffhanger is waiting around every corner and Black and Hannah make it through to the bitter end. You'll have to read it to find out what happens after the bitter end.
