Man, this was such a fantastic read! I loved reading the first book, and I was really excited to be back in this world! And boy, it was such a great read! Things were still pretty bad at the end of the first book, and I had to know what was going to happen next!

I just love the way that this book is told! Ruby's writing in a journal, and she's writing to whomever picks it up, and that's us. So there's moments where she's talking straight at us, and it was such a great choice for this series!

Oh, and Darius! I loved her interactions with him, they had a particular relationship, and I loved watching it develop! He was a really great character to read about, espcailly his interactions with Ruby, and the love that they grew to share!

The science stuff in this book was pretty interesting as well. I have no idea how it'd work, but it seemed logical from my view point. And of course things went down a certain way, and the ending was really entertaining. I would love to have a bit more, to see how the world is doing after everything that happened!

This was a fantastic read, and I can't wait to read more by Virginia Bergin!

The Rain was without a doubt one of my favourite debuts that I have read and after finishing it I just could not wait to read The Storm. I just knew it was going to be amazing and I was right. The Storm felt more like a typical dystopia novel, where the apocalypse has happened and we are now dealing with the after-effects of it. The Storm blew me away just as much as The Rain did. I loved every moment of it.

I never thought that The Storm would be even better than The Rain but it really was. It was full to the brim of twists and turns that left me slack-jawed as I couldn’t believe what was happening. Things that I really never saw coming and it just confirmed my belief that Virginia Bergin is an absolutely amazing author. I just think she is so fantastic and I really can’t wait to see what sort of thing she is going to come up with next considering The Storm is the final book in this series.

Ruby was just as endearing as the Ruby in The Rain only I felt like she had got even better. We pick up with Ruby’s story not long after we left her and we still have that naive girl there but she has without a doubt grown up a little bit. She is a little bit more reserved and sensible and intelligent to the ways of the world post-apocalypse. I just loved her even more and even though she didn’t grow much as a person throughout the duration of book one when you look at how she was at the beginning of The Rain and how she is at the end of The Storm there is no doubt that she has grown throughout that time and is a whole new stronger and less selfish teen.

The Storm was fast paced and amazing. I really loved every moment and couldn’t read this book fast enough. I just needed to know what was going to happen. I fell in love with this world and these characters so much I needed to know if they were going to be okay and going to survive. The Storm‘s ending was fantastic. It left it open to the possibility of another book if Virginia decided to write another one yet it was the perfect ending of the series at the same time. I have many many questions that could be answered in another book, and I would love another book but the ending was perfect as well. It shows hope for the future in this post-apocalyptic world. I have really loved this series and it is definitely one that I would re-read. It’s a fast-paced and amazing dystopia but deep down it’s a powerful story of love, family and survival. It’s definitely one of my favourite series.

I didn't enjoy the first one and therefore didn't get to book 2, thank you for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Those of use who have access to clean water take it for granted. Turning on the tap to wash your hands, cook food, cleaning clothing and drink water are habits we turn to routinely. We don't give it a second thought to stick our hands outside the window on a rainy day or stand under a steady stream of water but one seemingly normal rainfall changes these habits for the characters of H20.

A rain falls infecting and killing millions of people. The human race is doomed and the apocalypse is in full force. Ruby a teen girl is the central character and like most teens she is self centered, impulsive and naive.

The rain falls and those caught in or (or drinking water exposed to it) leave a person scratching incessantly at their skin, drawing blood and if I remember correctly chickenpox like lesions appear followed by death.

As with the majority of apocalyptic novels survivors band together. Good vs. Evil crops up and survival of the fitness (or wise) becomes central. Ruby teams up with a odd cast of characters as they try to avoid rain and survive.

I can't give this novel a strong recommendation because I went in expecting so much more but am interested in seeing what continues to happen to this misfit character.

The sequel to the book of H2O. This deserves a 5 star-rating because I was amazed at this story. It just blown away my mind. Remember my review for the 1st book that Ruby is annoying? On this 2nd book, I finally understand her. Well, it is a lot emotional than the first book.

Ruby is alone again because Princess and Darius are at the military camp. So, she’s trying to find her dad and brother ever since they left a note on the house that they will come and get her but it’s been weeks and they haven’t arrived.

It’s a lot to take in – from the military camp to the government stuff and for the cure for the rain. A rollercoaster hell of a ride. So, for the love connection between Darwin and Ruby it is so adorable and cheesy. Darwin in the story has made the story kind of funny because the 2nd book is getting serious. So, it’s a perfect balance to have him. On the other hand, Princess is such a cutie and throughout their journey – she’s still a mystery to me.

I don’t want to spoil about when will Ruby find her brother and father but what I can only say is it’s poignant, gut-wrenching, and mysterious.

I keep saying mysterious because the mere fact that I feel like there’s gonna be a third book but the author is quiet about this! IT’S JUST giving me a heart attack..

Overall: I really love this book than the first one.
