The poems here feel (and look) formulaic and staid. She has better poems and books, but here seems to be going through the motions.

This was an interesting poetry collection. There were some great poems here and some average ones. Overall, I can't say the collection was terribly memorable, but I'd be willing to try another collection by this poet.
