A compelling guide for leaders aiming to integrate emotional health with their leadership. Drawing from his personal evolution and deep study, Peter merges Christian principles with practical strategies. The book splits into two sections: the inner life, exploring self-awareness and Sabbath practice, and the outer life, addressing planning, team dynamics, and boundaries. Praised by leaders like Bishop T.D. Jakes and Dr. Ruth Haley Barton, its influence is evident.
Peter’s candid storytelling and actionable advice pierce through spiritual platitudes, offering healing for leadership’s emotional wounds. His focus on self-reflection and relationships stands out, making this essential for church leaders. This work includes scriptural insights and tools like a Rule of Life worksheet. Though Christian-centered, its lessons extend widely, promising profound transformation for churches, teams, and beyond.

“How transforming your inner life will deeply transform our church, team and the world”.
This book addresses, with examples, what it means to be a unhealthy leader, and what it means to be a healthy leader. It really is a guidebook on learning to be an emotionally healthy leader.
“I am a human BEING, not a human DOING”.
It deals with being a emotionally intelligent person, as much as a leader. It is broken into parts dealing with your inner life, and outer life; planning, decision making, team building, and includes staregies to be included in the church or organisation.
“Slowing down to be with Jesus”.
While this is, a book targeting the church, the principles can be applied to leading any organisation.
A must read for pastors, church leaders, and developing leaders.
