I love every book this author writes! Her stories are always so atmospheric and suspenseful. I felt this novel had a bit more depth then her prior books
Claire Campbell has moved on from her traumatic past, living and working in the big city. Her older sister disappeared two decades ago in her small hometown in South Carolina. She finds herself heading back to care for her estranged mother but her plans take a unique turn when she decides to settle in at a guest cottage on Galloway Farm
The owners, while odd, don’t bother her, but she can’t help but feeling like something is off. Then she finds the diary of a past missing woman, describing her time with the owners. Clues begin to appear and she can’t help but connect this woman’s story to her sister’s disappearance..
It’s easy to keep wanting to write this review but I’ll stop there as I don’t want to share any spoilers. You’ll have to read it to find out what happens next!
The narrators added an element to this novel that had me needing to know what was going to happen next! Their voices fit the vibes of this thriller

Forget Me Not by Stacy Willington is another gripping thriller that kept me hooked from beginning to end. The story follows Claire, an investigative journalist, determined to uncover the truth behind her sister’s disappearance 22 years ago. Her relentless pursuit of answers leads to a trail full of secrets, danger, and unexpected revelations.
The audiobook narration was excellent. Helen Laser and Karissa Vacker brought real emotion and intensity to the characters. Their performance added depth to an already compelling story, and I’ll definitely be seeking out more audiobooks narrated by them.
The plot was full of twists and turns that kept me guessing, and I thoroughly enjoyed the ride. Willington delivers yet another suspenseful and emotionally charged story that fans of the genre will really appreciate.
Highly recommend for thriller lovers, especially in audiobook format!
Thank you, NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for the ARC.

Thrillers are one of my top genres, and Stacy Willingham is one of my contemporary favorites in that genre. Add narration by Karissa Vacker, and I couldn’t raise my hand fast enough when I saw this available on #Netgalley as an advance review audiobook.
Claire Campbell is a reporter who’s just left her job at the New York Times when her father calls to say her mom is having a medical issue back home in South Carolina and could really use her help. Mom doesn’t have anyone else, because she and the father are divorced, although he still clearly cares for her, And Claire’s sister Natalie is gone, apparently killed by her older boyfriend who is now serving life, 22 years ago. Claire still struggles deeply with the vague circumstances of Natalie’s murder, including no body ever being found.
While home, things are frosty between Claire and her mother and she decides she can earn some money to tide her through unemployment, and maybe get some closure, by taking a job at a local vineyard where her sister worked in the last year of her life. But she’s about to find more than she bargained for, starting with a journal written years ago by the strange, seemingly drugged wife of the proprietor. How close can Claire get to unraveling the truth before she’s in danger, too?
This book is deeply creepy and haunting. The subject matter is super dark; think someone happy to prey on high school girls with a need for family. If that’s a trigger for you, this might not be the book for you. But I really enjoyed coming along for the ride as the MC uncovered the pieces, most of which I didn’t see coming, bit by bit. A solid four-star thriller, available Aug. 26 from my friends at #MacmillanAudio (thanks!).

Claire moved to the city to escape the memories and prying eyes in her small town - and everyone knowing her as the sister of the girl who was murdered. When her father tells her that her estranged mother needs help, she reluctantly returns to her childhood home and finds herself confronted with the traumatic past and pieces that still don’t quite make sense.
After stumbling upon a connection between her sister and Galloway Farm, Claire decided on a whim to take a seasonal job there. Here she stumbles upon a diary that tells a different story about the farm and its owners than what appears. Claire becomes obsessed with the details of the diary and how much it seems to relate to her own sister’s life, and finds herself questioning how safe she is working at this farm.
There is a lot to unpack in this mysterious and suspenseful crime drama. There are multiple timelines, dual POV, and a large quantity of characters to keep track of. The story is well done, but the FMC makes some wild leaping assumptions and has some ridiculously impressive sleuthing skills that aren’t quite displayed in advance enough as part of her job. The diary is also a very central piece of evidence, but is a highly secluded and naive girl going to be writing in a diary at the level of detail provided here? It felt like a bit of a stretch, that what the POV provided and the diary entries would be detailed enough for the FMC to figure out what she did… while also missing some pretty obvious hints!
I really enjoyed the narrator in the audiobook. She does a very good job with the accent to give the listener that southern vibe from those who had not left for the big city.
Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for the ALC in exchange for an honest review.

Shortly after her 18th birthday, Natalie disappeared without a trace & a man was arrested for her murder after blood was found in his car, case closed. 22 years later, her younger sister Claire is forced to leave the big city and return to her small town and estranged mom. While back, she finds herself hired at a nearby farm to escape home life, but it’s not long before Claire realizes something is off about this place and its gruff owner. When she uncovers a diary hidden away, it’s clear something more sinister is happening, and it becomes a race to not only save herself and escape, but uncover the truth of what happened to her sister and others.
As the story went on, I figured out a fair amount of the mysteries but in true Stacy fashion, there were also some twists I didn’t see coming! This was a great blend of the psychological and mysterious. The narrator perfectly brought the tensions and fear to life.

Thank you Netgalley and Macmillan Audio for my ARC. I am always excited about a Stacey Willingham book because I am certain it'll leave me gasping. This one however did not illicit such a response. I think it's important to note that this is NOT a thriller. Its a slow, slow, slow mystery. The trope is ine i dont care for either. 9f course I will always look forward to this authors' books but this was not for me.

I have read Stacy Willingham’s entire catalog, so I was excited to get this audio arc from Netgalley. Highly entertaining and excellent narration! Great book to listen to on walks!

This was an interesting mystery of past trauma colliding with current drama creating an explosion of an ending. We feel for our character as she navigates life without her sister and deals with lasting relationship issues with friends, colleagues, love interests. She delves into the past and makes assumption’s which leads to unexpected answers.

Thank you Netgalley and Macmillan for an audio arc of Forget Me Not by Stacy Willingham.
Another fantastic read by this author! The audio was great as well.
4/5 star.
This story is filled with twist and turns and some very suspenseful parts. I was left continuously wondering what would happen next.
My predictions were never right.
If you’re looking for a fast paced, suspenseful thriller that you can binge in a day, then this is a great choice.
Claire had left her job after pursuing her writing career when one day she gets a phone call from her dad that her mom had been injured and suggests she comes home to help her mom out.
Claire doesn’t stay long as memories from her sisters disappearance become too much.
Claire ends up staying on a property that her sister worked at many years ago and finds a diary that sends Claire on an investigation. Things continue to unravel from there.
Definitely recommend!

Claire Campbell returns to her hometown twenty-two years after her older sister disappeared, twenty-two years after her sister's blood was found in her boyfriend's car, twenty-two years after the cops arrested and convicted the murderer who brutally attacked her sister. It has been a long time since Claire has been back, and this time is only because her father has requested she visit her estranged mother. A few days in her old home, surrounded by her sister, Natalie's things, and a few days dealing with her mother's constant reminder that she really doesn't need Claire there, is enough to send Claire looking for any other way to spend her time off from her investigative journalist job.
Impulsively she returns to a long ago happy memory and Natalie's last happy place, Galloway Farm, which happens to offer a cabin to seasonal help. Claire is in and grateful for the respite from the overly connected busy city she is usually a part of. As she begins to settle in to her remote job, Claire finds an old journal, hidden and fascinating. The more she reads, the more she questions, the more she needs to know. This journal begins as a fanciful accounting of a young girl's first love and becomes something much darker. When excerpts of the journal begin to echo pieces of her sister's past, Claire wonders if the two may be somehow linked, if perhaps she has stumbled into a dangerous past that has yet to be resolved, that is in fact, creating for her a very dangerous present.
A thrilling read that will keep you turning the pages late into the night. If this is your first Stacy Willingham novel, it won't be your last!
Thank you Negalley for an advanced audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

I credit Stacey Willingham with re-igniting my love for reading at the beginning of 2023 when I picked up A Flicker in the Dark and couldn’t put it down. Her new book Forget Me Not is a slow burn thriller heavy with secrets, manipulation, murder, and cult vibes. I really loved how the scene of the story was set by the reading of the journal entries, which allowed for multiple POV and timelines. The audiobook was narrated by one of my favorites Karissa Vacker and I will ALWAYS recommend any audiobook she narrates, and this was no exception.

Thank you for the ARC. I really enjoy this narrator.
22 years ago Claire’s older sister disappeared and the body never found. Claire goes and works on a vineyard where she uncovers several secrets and bodies.
For me this book was more of a mystery rather than a thriller and a slow burn. By the end, it was a bit confusing and wasn’t my favorite by this author.

There is something about this thriller that is a trope - a man captures women, but they are not aware that they are being taken into a cult like situation, and then he cuts them off from society and all kinds of things happen. I've read other books like this and seen TV shows like it.
The book starts off slow and didn't pick up until 2/3 of the way through, at which time some suspense was built. But once the "scary" part was over, the plot seemed to lapse back into dullness.
I do not like the narrator, who has a very breathy voice and I like even less the way that she narrates a "man's" voice.
I feel sorry that I didn't like this: I wanted to. I'm big on thrillers but I don't like it when too many of them are the same.

Southern slow burn mystery.
Journalist “forced” to go back home after trying to runway from her family’s past.
22 years ago Claire’s older sister disappeared and possibly murdered. They were easily able to connect it back to her older boyfriend at the time. Her body was never found and her boyfriend never admitted to the crime.
While back home Claire starts thinking back to that summer her sister disappeared, and the place her sister often visited during her last days. That’s where the vineyard comes in, making the setting for this book even more spooky. While at the vineyard Claire starts to discover even more mysterious things/secrets.
For me this book was more of a mystery rather then a thriller.
We got a past/present point of view. The flashbacks help us weave the story together.
I didn’t expect this book to have runaway cult like vibes.
It started getting confusing towards the end. Some threads in the story didn’t make sense, like the fact that one of the cops was involved.
The ending just felt messy.

✨ARC Review✨
This was such an atmospheric, slow-burn thriller set in the South. The story follows Claire, who comes back to her hometown decades after her sister disappeared. While working at a vineyard near where it all happened, she stumbles on an old diary that might hold the truth about her sister — and other dark secrets.
I loved how the book alternates between Claire’s investigation and the diary entries from the past. It keeps you guessing and creates this tense, almost haunting vibe. Claire is a really compelling character — flawed and determined in a way that feels real.
The pacing is a bit slow at times, but it worked for me because it built so much suspense. If you enjoy twisty mysteries with rich settings and emotional depth, you’ll probably love this one.
Look out for FORGET ME NOT on August 26,2025! Thank you to Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for the ALC of Stacy Willingham’s newest novel. I was so excited to be approved for the audio when I found out it was narrated by Karissa Vacker and Helen Laser.
4 stars for FORGET ME NOT ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great story. Very engaging. Likeable main character. Lots of twists to keep you guessing! I loved the narration as well. Very easy to follow and enjoyable.

I SCREAMED when I got sent the new Stacy Willingham audiobook & it lived up to my expectations! We are following a young woman who travels back to her hometown, where her older sister was once murdered, to take care of her ill mother. Once there, she decides to take some space away from her mom and crash at a local farm where her deceased sister once worked over the summer. Unbeknownst to our main character, the farm holds lots of secrets and answers to questions she didn’t even know she was looking to find…
This book consumed me. The narrator of this audiobook was perfect & really captured the personality of our main character, Claire. Stacy Willingham once again wrote characters that I fell in love with and that left me suspicious of everyone. I was shocked by HOW MANY plot twists there were in the end, maybe one too many…but overall a very emotional, atmospheric, immersive thriller.
Thank you to Macmillan audio & NetGalley for sending me an early copy! 3.75 stars rounded up!

I have been looking forward to read another Willingham book for what seems like forever. This one is not my favorite, but I still really enjoyed. The twists did take me by surprise, so that was a treat. And I really appreciated the narrator. I am rating this 3.5 rounding up to 4.

Thanks to NetGalley, St. Martin’s Press, and MacMillan Audio for the digital copy of this book and audiobook; I am leaving this review voluntarily.

There’s something about a cold case mystery that draws me in. There’s usually some psychological suspense involved and Forget Me Not delivers. It also features dual timelines, which is another favorite of mine. It is a bit darker than I like, but Forget Me Not is so well written that I didn’t mind.
Claire Campbell has faced trauma in her life. Her older sister, Natalie, disappeared 22 years ago while working at a place called Galloway Farm. Her body was never found, and Claire leaves home for college and avoids returning home. Her father convinces her to come home and help look after her mother, who has had surgery. While looking through her sister’s photos and journals, Claire decided to head to the farm to see if she can find some answers to her sister’s death.
Galloway Farm has a weird vibe. An older couple lives there with a farmhand. They offer Claire a job despite the fact that she has no experience working on a farm. Claire accepts the job even though the farm is secluded and there’s no cell service.
I do have to say that Claire makes some really questionable choices throughout the book that left me scratching my head. And a lot of questions she has during her stay at Galloway could have been answered if she had just had a long talk with her mother.
The audiobook is narrated by Helen Laser and Karissa Vacker, and they do a great job with the material. Overall, this book is more mystery than thriller, and now that I’ve read the book, I noticed things on the cover art that pertain to the secrets in the story, so an excellent job there.

I was super intrigued when I read the synopsis of this book and immediately requested it on NetGalley. I listened to the audiobook version and found the voice of both narrators pleasant and easy to listen to.
Unfortunately this story didn’t hook me quite like I expected. I found myself struggling to keep interested but kept listening thinking it would pick up and get better. That just didn’t happen for me,which is a shame because I usually become engrossed in her books
