Stacy Willingham knows how to keep me on my toes. Every time I thought I had it figured out, I was wrong! There were quite a few twists that I was not expecting. I love a good mystery and it makes it even better when I don't figure out the plot twists early into reading. The epiologue helped to tie up a few loose ends and made me a little emotional with the parallels. (Vague as to not spoil anything). Another great book.

4 stars! I really enjoy Stacy Willingham’s writing. The twisty plots keep you engaged and wondering the outcome of the eerie situations the characters face.

When Claire receives a phone call from her dad that her mom had been in an accident and needs Claire’s help, she finally decides to face her past head on and head to her childhood home, the last place she ever saw her older sister Natalie alive. After spending one night in the home, she decides to go stay at a local vineyard which happened to be the last place her sister worked before she went missing, and she’s COMPLETELY unaware of all the deep and dark secrets she will uncover.

Through several point of views, Stacy does a phenomenal job of telling this story. I would recommend this book for anyone that enjoys family drama, suspense, thrillers, true crime, and books that you can’t quit thinking about.

Thank you to Stacy Willingham, Minotaur Books, and NetGalley for the ALC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

What happened to Natalie Campbell twenty-two years ago? That is the question that Claire can't get over. Sure, someone has been convicted of her murder, but things just don't seem to be lining up. Now back in her hometown, Claire can't help but finally try to discover the last few months of her sister's life. She even gets a job at the same vineyard where her sister used to work. When she finds a hidden journal within her cabin, she can't help but discover similarities between what happened to her sister and what happened to this mysterious woman back in the 80s.
Soon, things begin to feel off at the vineyard. The wife seems dazed and confused, the husband a little too helpful, and the other worker always around and never willing to answer questions. Someone seems to be entering her cabin when she isn't there, and she can't help but wonder if there is a link between Natalie's disappearance and others. With episodes of cult like followings this is a thrilling mystery that will keep you guessing.

✨I do love a good Southern thriller, especially when set in the dog days of summer. This one was eerie and atmospheric and set the scene nicely for all the twists and turns to come.

✨I savored the slow burn suspense and the tension that quietly heightened with each page turned. This book is perfect for a quick summer thrill, and I enjoyed the read.

🎧I paired the print and audio versions of this book for an immersive reading experience, though I primarily read on audio. I got lost in the story at the skilled hands of narrators Karissa Vacker @karissavacker and Helen Laser @hlaserwolf. I always know I’m going to love the audiobook when either is narrating – never mind BOTH of them. It was a fabulous reading experience.

Rounding up to 4 (3.75 rating). I’ve read several of Stacy Willingham’s books, and one thing I can always count on is a twisty, fast-paced ride that hooks me from the start. Forget Me Not didn’t disappoint in that sense—it was another entertaining, edge-of-your-seat thriller perfect for summer reading. There were plenty of twists throughout, and while I did manage to predict a couple (which made me feel very proud of myself), the final reveals truly caught me off guard. I actually think she wanted readers to feel like they had it figured out—just so she could pull the rug out from under them later. Very well played. That said, I did feel like there were a few plot holes and moments where the logic didn’t totally hold up. I’m the kind of reader (and TV watcher) who likes every detail to click into place, and I found myself questioning a few decisions and wondering why the main character kept running toward danger instead of away from it. Some of it felt a bit far-fetched—but that didn’t take away from the fact that it was still a super fun, fast-paced read. Overall, Forget Me Not is a solid thriller with great pacing and some fantastic late-stage twists. If you’re looking for something that’ll keep you turning the pages and guessing until the end, this one’s a great pick. I listened to the audiobook, narrated by Helen Laser and Karissa Vacker, and thought both of them did a fantastic job. Their performances kept the story moving at a great pace, and each voice felt distinct and believable without ever being distracting. They really added to the suspense and tension of the book—definitely a strong narration duo. Thanks to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for providing me with an ARC!

This book pulled me in immediately! Since the main character, Claire, is a reporter, I seemed to be drawn to trying to figure out the twists and turns. Usually I just go along for the ride, but this time I tried to figure it out with Claire. Let me tell you what… I was wrong just about every time! This story was so intricately spun and I really enjoyed it!! What a fabulous psychological thriller!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for an audio copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I found myself sucked into the plotline despite it being a slow burn. While I had figured out parts of the twists early in the book, I still enjoyed listening to this story. It was perfect for a summer afternoon. I will be recommending this to people who are looking for a dark and suspenseful thriller. 3.5 out of 5 stars!

Stacy Willingham consistently writes books that I enjoy and this is no exception! I recently moved to the Charleston, SC area, where Stacy also resides and her stories reflect her surroundings. Having this exposure to the setting helped make this book feel SO real for me, and I was enjoying the unfolding of the plot. I did not expect the twists and appreciated how layered it was.

Twenty-two years ago, Claire Campbell’s older sister, Natalie, disappeared shortly after her eighteenth birthday. Days later, her blood was found in a car, a man was arrested, and the case was swiftly closed. In the decades since, Claire has attempted to forget her traumatic past by moving to the city and climbing the ranks as an investigative journalist... until an unexpected call from her father forces her to come back home and face it all again.

I was super intrigued when I read the synopsis of this book and immediately requested it on NetGalley. I listened to the audiobook version and found the voice of both narrators pleasant and easy to listen to.

Unfortunately this story didn’t hook me quite like I expected. I found myself struggling to keep interested but kept listening thinking it would pick up and get better. That just didn’t happen for me and I think this is one of those stories that would be better as a physical copy read than an audiobook listen. I will be purchasing a copy of this book when it comes out and hopefully in that format it will be a different experience.

Claire, returns home to help her mother after she recently broke her leg and is alone. Claire is a journalist who a few months ago tried to make it into the freelance world. It wasn’t working out like she thought.

Returning home brings back memories of her sister, Natalie, that went missing 22 years ago and they never found her body. While home, in the house she grew up in, she goes into Natalie’s untouched room. While looking at Natalie’s picture she finds one of Natalie at the Galloway farm. Claire decides to go to Galloway farm to see if anything there can bring back memories. While visiting she learns they are seeking seasonal help and Claire takes the job.

While in the room she is staying in she finds a diary and as she begins to read the dairy she begins to uncover secrets and the more she reads the more secrets she uncovers. Is this diary the key to finding out what happened to Natalie?

This book was suspenseful and thrilling. I have read all of Stacy Willingham’s books and this one was definitely a favorite! There were so many plot twists and just when I thought I had it figured out, BAM, another plot twist! It kept me wanting more.

Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for allowing me to listen to this audiobook. The narrator was great and easy to listen to. She did a great job with all the different voices and I would definitely add her to my list of favorite narrators.

This book/audiobook is set to be release on August 25th

this book had a lot of twist and turns at the end and I enjoyed every minute of it! I liked that the entire book was building up to Claire finding out what happened to her sister Natalie. the journal entries being read in third person instead of first was interesting but still was able to relay the information needed to me as the reader. the audiobook was read perfectly and kept me engaged the entire time!

Thank you Macmillan Audio and Stacy Willingham for the ALC of the upcoming release Forget Me Not.

I listened to this yesterday, yes yesterday. One day. Put off all of my work to listen, and take notes. There's one thing I love about a good thriller is all of the unknowns. I love coming up with my own theories, and let me tell you I was WRONG at every turn.
Every twist and turn I was like stop itttttt. 🤯

I knew Claire being a journalist was going to come in handy in her sisters murder. The story progresses really well, and I liked all of the clues leading up to the BIG reveal. This is a fast paced thriller that'll keep you on your toes till the very end. I can't wait for the book to be published so I can talk to someone about it. 🫠

Also I'm by no means a anthophile. So learning that Forget Me Nots were a flower, was so sweet. The way she tied it into the story was perfect, and really sad. 🥺

📖🎧 Just wrapped Forget Me Not by Stacy Willingham — I read the early copy and listened to the audiobook, and let me tell you… it was an experience.

Set in a hazy South Carolina vineyard, this story blends a haunting cold case, unsettling cult energy, and family secrets that won’t stay buried. The deeper Claire digs into her sister’s disappearance, the more the truth twists — and I could not put it down.

Narrated by Helen Laser and Karissa Vacker, the audiobook added so much tension and emotion — both performances were phenomenal. I was completely transported. And the ending? Hands down one of the most satisfying I’ve read in a long time.

If you love layered mysteries, slow-burning suspense, and books that give you chills and make you think — add this to your fall TBR ASAP.

Review of Forget Me Not by Stacy Willingham

I really enjoyed this one! The narrator had the perfect voice for this. It’s a slow burn for sure, but the atmosphere and tension build in such a satisfying way. The pacing gave me time to connect with the characters and really sink into the mystery. And that ending? Absolutely perfect. Everything came together in a way that was both surprising and emotionally satisfying. If you love a moody, character-driven thriller with a strong payoff, this one’s worth the ride.

The latest by Stacy Willingham, Forget Me Not is a slow burn thriller that keeps you engaged the entire time. Claire's sister, Natalie, disappeared twenty-two years ago and a man was arrested in regard to her disappearance. Claire returns home after her mother sustained an accident and begins to unravel the secrets of the past after discovering an old diary.

Helen Laser and Karissa Vacker are two of my most favorite narrators. At this point they could probably read the dictionary and make it interesting. I find that I can focus for extended periods of time to the audiobook when there are some others that I end up tuning out pretty quickly. I generally like faster paced thrillers, but with the audiobook version I was able to enjoy the story the entire way.

Thanks to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for an advanced audio version in exchange for my honest review.
