Claire Campbell's sister Natalie disappeared over twenty years ago and her body was never found. Among other reasons this is why her family broke apart and Claire became estranged from her parents. Forward in time twenty years where Clair's father calls her out of the blue to return home to her mothers place in South Carolina to help care for her after an accident. Things do not go well and Claire impulsively takes a summer job at nearby Galloway Farm where her sister worked as a teenager. Claire is curious and her curiosity becomes extremely peaked when she finds a teenage diary of one of the farms owners stashed away in the cabin she is staying at on the farm. Claire is an investigative journalist and she cannot resist reading the diary and becomes obsessed with it. As she works the farm and gets to know the owners better she starts to notice that things are 'not quite right' and the more she uncovers the more horrifying her situation becomes. This story has lots of twists and turns and several things I did not see coming. Fans of intricate thrillers will enjoy this book. The narrator of the audio book I listened to did a fantastic job. Recommended. 4 stars.
Many thanks to Net Galley and Macmillan Audio for a chance to listen/read an ARC version of this book.

A deep seated thrilled based in the South. It begs the question how far will you good to seek redemption for your missing sister? Even when her killer is locked up in jail? It’s the story of half truths and deep mystery that will have you at the edge of your seat. Thanks to NetGalley for the read! The narrator was spectacular and really brought the story to life!

Sister never give up. Mystery in a family the will not just go to rest. Facing a traumatic event many years later makes for many surprises, and that is fulfilled in the novel.

I devoured this audiobook. The narrator did a wonderful job. The book was so suspenseful, it kept me wanting more.

Stacy Willingham creates such a visceral sense of place, and Forget Me Not is no exception. I found the pacing to be the perfect contrast of heart-pounding moments with a slow unraveling mystery. The characters were easy to follow, and I enjoyed the twists along the way.
Narration performed by Helen Laser and Karissa Vacker was outstanding as usual. They are two of my favorite narrators.
I received an ARC and ALC from St. Martin's Press | Minotaur Books and Macmillan Audio via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Once you get into this book, it keeps you intrigued and guessing as to what's coming next. I liked the setting of a farm and the south. I know what those summers are like, lol. I liked also the passages from the diary and then back to present day. So good.

Claire Campbell is a journalist and just missed out on what should have been her big promotion. She gets a call from her dad back home that her mom has had a small accident and could use a little company. Claire reluctantly finds herself returning home. Soon, memories come flooding back. Memories of her sister, Natalie, who went missing 22 years prior. Natalie Campbell was barely 18 and evidence found strongly suggested her boyfriend of the time was responsible for her disappearance and death. He was sent to prison for life.
In an attempt to learn more about Natalie, Claire visits Galloway - the farm that Natalie spent her last summer working at. Claire finds herself working the same job and seemingly reliving Natalie's last summer. Will Claire find the truth behind what really happened that summer?
This book had a good pace. It moved quickly enough to keep me interested throughout. No major twists or unexpected happenings - a couple small twists. I did not find myself terribly attached/relating to the characters. Just a fast, easy read. There were only a few characters, so the book was easy to follow. Some moments of enjoyable suspense and build up that had me at the edge of my seat. Overall, an enjoyable read.
I listened to the audiobook and thought the narrator did a great job. 4/5 stars. Good speed, tone, and pronunciation. Easy to listen to.
Thanks to NetGalley, Stacy Willingham, and the publisher for the ALC and chance to give my honest opinion!

Thank you so much for allowing me to review this twisty audiobook. I love all of Stacy Willingham’s novels and this one is just as wonderful! It’s mysterious and twisty! I really never saw the twists coming! I loved the audiobook of this story and highly recommend it. I also thought the narrator did a great job unveiling the story and adding additional intrigue and suspense. Thank you again!

Absolutely zero surprise that #StacyWillingham knocked it out of the park... or should that be off the farm... with #ForgetMeNot. This book gives me all the energy of a tale that would absolutely become an immediate Top Podcast if it were a true story. To not give any super spoilers - because you absolutely need must read this - think Season One of Serial meets any Podcast about the Murdaughs meets Something Was Wrong. As a bonus, the audio book was amazing.

I have to say that immediately I HAD to know what happened to Natalie. I think that although it did get a little complicated in the middle half of the book, with all of the different missing girls that were connected to Mitchell, but in the end it was explained and had a nice complete resolution. I listened to this in about a day because I felt completely engrossed on the edge of my seat. I also kept thinking that I was going to predict the ending and I didn't completely because it got more convoluted. This thriller didn't disappoint, it was a solid 4.5 for me.

Ahhh these are the kinds of books that are keeping me in my thriller era. I was hooked from the start of this book - I was so excited to see how the death of our FMC's sister 20 years ago would get wrapped up in the current story. And I had suspicions but not to the extent to everythig that happened, and how, and why (I will say, It may be a 'me' problem that I lost focus in the last two hours of the audiobook and missed a lot of the discoveries, and re-discoveries and changed, but by the end I was impressed to the craziness and how much I enjoyed this book. I will be continuing on my thriller era - hopefully going back to Stacy's other book, A Flicker in the Dark.
Thank you NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for an ALC of this book in exchange for my honest review!

LOVED the dual narration and multiple POV
First few chapters were slow, but STICK WITH IT. Culty vibes, attempted murder, secret pasts and an increasing dead body count that will keep you glued to your headphones.
While I over all did enjoy the story over all there were a few details I feel qualified the for a lower rating. The role of Ryan was extremely brief and could either be omitted or more detail provided to further depth to our Main Character.
Thank you to MacMillan Audio and @netgalley for this advanced listener copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

This was a great time. I loved the setting, the culty vibes and twist I didn’t see coming. I loved the audio version, both narrators were amazing.
I loved the dual timeline. This will definitely be a great fall read.

3.5/5⭐️
Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for the advanced listening copy of Forget Me Not.
I found the beginning of this book a little dry and hard to get into—honestly, I don’t even remember how Claire ended up at Galloway Farms or how her story started. All of the early character and background development just didn’t stick with me.
But once Claire arrived at Galloway Farms (around 17% of the way in), the story really picked up. From that point on, I was completely hooked and couldn’t put it down. The pacing was much better, the atmosphere felt more immersive, and I finished the entire book in one night.
While the book wasn’t overloaded with twists, there were definitely moments that completely caught me off guard—little revelations that made me go, “Oh my god, I didn’t see that coming!” Those unexpected turns kept me fully engaged.
Despite its slow start, this ended up being a really compelling read that I’m glad I stuck with.
I also want to add that dual narrators really made this book for me! It’s so important to have distinctive voices for each character when listening to an audiobook, so that was just the cherry on top.

4.5 stars. I loved this new thriller from Stacy Willingham!
I read Willingham's debut novel, A Flicker in the Dark, and could not put it down. Her release last summer, Only If You're Lucky, was just so-so for me. I'm happy to report that Forget Me Not was so engrossing, I literally read it in 24 hours by alternating the audiobook and e-book!
Claire Campbell is a crime reporter living in NYC whose older sister, Natalie, disappeared and was presumed murdered when they were teens. Claire has lived her life trying to erase her past by focusing on other people's stories and repressing her own grief at the tragic loss of her sister. However, when Claire returns home to her small southern town to help her mother after an injury, she begins to revisit the details surrounding her sister's disappearance. What follows is a wild ride that keep me on the edge of my seat until the very end. I highly recommend this novel if you're looking for an atmospheric binge-worthy summer thriller!

There was so much going on with this book! We follow Claire through her struggles in NYC & decision to return home to help her ailing mother. Next thing we know, she’s working on a farm with a cult-like owner. Enter the epistolary segments where she’s reading the journal of one of the characters. I always struggle with this device as it will take the main character days/weeks as they slowly read along to discover the relevant and connecting information that was sorely needed days/weeks earlier!
I still enjoyed following Claire on her journey to discover what happened to her older sister. This will make a great summer beach read!
*Thanks to Macmillan Audio & NetGalley

Expected on August 26, 2025, Forget Me Not by Stacy Willingham did not disappoint. I was excited to get the chance to listen to the audiobook. Helen Laser and Karissa Vacker did an amazing job narrating. There was always a mysterious and eerie feeling to the book that they were somehow able to convey together. Holy mackerel with the jaw-dropping twists! I was on the edge of my car seat for the last hour or so of the book. Check this one out!
Thank you to @netgalley, MacMillan Audio, and @stacyvwillingham for the opportunity to listen and enjoy this book!

Forget Me Not, written by Stacy Willingham and narrated by Helen Laser and Karissa Vacker is a southern mystery thriller that features our main character Claire.
The book begins with Claire, where she lives in New York. She has been struggling after getting passed over for a promotion that was given to her coworker and friend, and is in a period of transition. When Claire gets a phone call from her dad saying that her mom needs help, Claire can’t think of a reason to not go home, even though she is desperate for one. She has not been home since she was 18, the same age her sister was when she went missing. But once home Claire is more interested in finding out more about her sister, and to do so she finds herself at Galloway Farm, where her sister once worked.
I really loved this book! Loved the mystery aspects, and the ways that characters came together for a common purpose. I also enjoyed some of the “past” chapters, and learning how these connected to the current story line.
Thank you very much to NetGalley and to the author, publisher, and narrator of this book for an ALC in exchange for an honest review.

Very fun read. There were lots of twists and turns and I didn't see lots of them coming. I love that.
This is one of those books that one can't really discuss much without giving something away. So here's what I'll say... The pacing was good. I at no point wanted to put it away and didn't want to miss a word. The narration was great. I must say that Karissa Vacker's man voices are superb. I try to imagine her doing them and I cannot. I also listen to her Sleep Wave podcast but at no time during her narration did I drift off. The other narrator did a nice job, too, but Vacker did a great job.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and absolutely recommend it for fans of twisty thrillers.
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for a copy of the audiobook!
