A book to get you thinking - what would I do in the same situation? A well written plot which kept my interest from start to finish

A beautifully written, bittersweet story. This book deals with the real-life issue of forced adoptions in Australia, which was a heartbreaking practice. This story also deals with a reunion between birth parents and their child--although said child had to wait 38 years to find out she was adopted (and she learned it while she was pregnant with her OWN child).

We learn the backstory through the words of the birth mother and the adopted mother---and we get the child's perspective on the present day events. Because of that, the story is very well-rounded, very emotional, and feels very true to life.

I've had this on my to read list for quite some time. It kept me turning the pages and was a sad, but great read.
