365 devotions to serve those who are facing challenges of any kind (from small everyday disturbances to crisis) - like, us all.

I like that the devotional is quite simple - a verse from Scripture and a few sentences to meditate about and/or to give the reader some food for thought. But "a few sentences" doesn´t mean that the message is superficial! On the opposite, some of the devotions are quite deep.

If you are facing hard times, this might be the right book for you. Otherwise I would recommend to have it near when there is a disturbance present in your life to find a suitable daily devotion to help to get you through the hard time (as there are not just hard days in our lives, but good days, too).

I am not saying this as a criticism, but in full honesty I would love to have here a few deep devotions about a "dark night of the soul", spiritual darkness and crisis in the journey toward union with God. Some of the devotions cover this topic, but kind of lightly. There is a need in the world for hope in this difficult situations.

Otherwise, this devotional book is a lovely companion for your growth even during the hard times.
