I got this as an arc on Netgalley and it will come out in October. Again lovely! I am enjoying this series immensely. I love the healing through DnD narrative of it all.

I loved this graphic novel about reconciliation even more than the first volume! Great artworks and an even greater plot. Rrally, a wonderful reading experience.

Another D&D adventure featuring people who were close in high school and have since drifted apart, coming together to save their old community center, destroy some monsters, and reconnect as friends. it’s a familiar story, and a comforting one, with strong art.

I like the glimpses at how their high school years shaped them into the people they are today, and their cringing at the reveal of their original characters — full of tropes and inexperience, of ideas that were cool to them at the time but lack subtlety and nuance — was … very relatable. This is a cozy little comic series, full of inclusion, humor, and friendships.

It’s a little light on the story, with less of an emotional punch than the first book, but I do still recommend it if you’re either a fan of D&D comics, or if — like the players — you’re reconnecting with an old group. Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for the ARC!

Following a whole new crew of people we venture back into the world of Dice & Deathraps. After having left their game unfinished our main cast, now popular internet personalities, are brought back together by their old GM to save the community centre they used to game at.

I really enjoyed vol. 1 and am so glad Walls, Dozerdraws and Myers came back to do another volume. The art is amazing, great character design with clear page layout and bright, dynamic colours.

I like the way Walls writes conflict and the eventual resolution, it feels well thought out and realistic. Especially with the flashbacks to when they were younger and you can see how these resentments and arguments originally started.

Always love a DnD story to really happy to read another, especially with this amount of casual queerness it makes me happy. Hopefully we'll see a volume 3 from this group if inspiration strikes!

Thank you Mad Cave Studios and NetGalley for the ARC
