I enjoyed reading this book and learning more about Jewel and her songs in her own words. Though I wasn't really a fan of her pop songs but I do enjoy her country songs.

I have had a hard time getting in this memoir. The writing style kind of turned me off which is unfortunate as I do like Jewel's songs and poetry. I tried reading this a few times and am now going to give up before I go further and then rate it low for not liking it. Thank you for the opportunity to read this.

One of my first thought of Never Broken was how well written it was. Most of us know Jewel’s backstory as told through the media but her biography goes much deeper. I appreciated how open and honest she was about all aspects of her life. She also sends a great message to young girls to always follow your instincts. Jewel is the heroine in her own story. Just like in a romance novel I’m rooting for her and her happy ending.
