I only review books I have purchased and I happen to own this book in both audio and ebook format. The book was entertaining and it was easy to put down and pick up. Weiner's writing style is very approachable, like having a conversation with an old friend. It's more of a collection of travel anecdotes but includes a fair amount of humor, which made it a fun book for a long ride. What I really loved was just how thought-provoking our conversations became as we progressed through the book. It's really fascinating to see how the innovation and genius seem to explode in certain areas but it seems lightning doesn't strike in the same place too often. Taken together, it seems our species has yet to learn how to foster genius and creativity in a consistent fashion over time. It explodes and is tapped down just as quickly. It's a wonder we've progressed as we have.
