I have to say it is probably my fault for requesting a book in the double digits in an established series. But it was set in the U.K., centered around Guy Fawkes Day, paranormal activities with. Couple of older detectives. While there is quite a bit of humour and clever lines abound, I found myself pressed to finish it. Not sure if being more familiar with the series would have helped our not, especially given that the author even says you don’t need to read his books in order.

While intriguing I couldn’t help but feel a little lost and given the mental state of the eldest detective I would suggest starting earlier in the series.
