This was a good read. I love a good Amish based book and this one hit the spot! The plot and characters balance out. And this one does pull on the heart strings a little more than anticipated.

The Forgotten Recipe is a remarkable story about healing after a loss, finding love again, and having faith that things happen for a reason. My heart reached out to both Veronica and Jason as they each grieved the death of Seth. Veronica finds a recipe book in her Mamm‘s hope chest which she uses to make pies to sell at a roadside stand. Jason becomes a regular customer and together they begin to heal.

What an astonishingly heart-stirring spectacular beginning to Amy’s new Heirloom series. She is a writer of Amish fiction that is always a delight to read.

I received a complimentary copy (or ARC) of this book from the author via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to write a review, and all options expressed in this review are completely my own.
