Rose is just out of college and taking the summer to spend with her sisters, the Garrison Brothers and Luc, the man she's had a crush on since she was a kid. But he's always put her in the friend zone.

Luc is planning on spending the summer in the town he grew up with the Garrison boys, Rose and her sisters and staying out of trouble. His antics with his girlfriend of the past two years has caused the the Vipers team management to question his commitment to the team. They think he's more interested in partying and girls.

So when Luc starts noticing that Rose is more than his little buddy, he's conflicted about if he should or even how to proceed.

I have to say, if I were Luc I would have walked away from Rose many times over. She was so young in her behavior when it came to him. He was very clear that he had to act a certain way to keep from getting into trouble with his teams management, but she got mad whenever he didn't say she was his girlfriend.

It was well known by everyone who knew him that he slept like the dead. To the point that when they were all away for Cole and Leah's bachelor/bachelorette weekend, they had to get the hotel to let them into Luc's room to wake him because the four calls to his room didn't work. So when he gets drunk and ends up in a compromising situation, the fact that she can't understand how he didn't know how he ended up there after getting drunk with his friends is amazing to me.

Of course he didn't know. I mean they had to physically shake him to wake him up. It would be easy for someone to take advantage of him. Rose made that more drama then it had to be. I would have walked over to him and shook him awake and slapped the girl in her face.

I just didn't like how the author wrote the character of Rose. She was a whinny baby to me. After being all understanding of Jordy for her sister, she flew off the handle every time Luc didn't declare his undying love to her in every word.

Made me nuts.

The fact that I'm going to read the next book is big. And only because I love Callie's attitude. She was more like me as a young person. I like her vibe.
