The Fever of 1721 is a fascinating, in-depth look at the smallpox epidemic. It was wonderfully written, so much so that it is hard to believe that this is the author's first book. You can tell that it was very thoroughly researched. It would be a great one to try for someone who mainly reads fiction but wants to dip their toes into nonfiction. This book is truly amazing, and I would definitely recommend it. |
