I really enjoyed this next installment of the Covent Garden Cubs. It was a story of second chances that caused the hero and heroine to examine themselves and rethink their prejudices. Galen created some clever dialogue and made us root for the two to work things out. It's also a bit of a road trip and it was fun to see them interact in different environments. Our hero, Brook, was introduced in the previous series books and we were all anxious to find out more about him. Lila could have been unlikable, but Galen gave her a soft heart with which to overcome her past. A solid, well-written romance.

This is an honest review provided in exchange for the privilege of reading an ARC of the book.

LATE ARC REVIEW:
I enjoyed Sir Brook throughout the series. Lady Lila broke his heart years ago by dismissing his marriage proposal out of hand. She was a very spoiled lady. Now things have changed and Brook has to save her from a criminal lord and she has matured but the tension is very high!! It's a mixture of enemies to lovers and forced marriage and lots of suspense and intrigue.
