Short and cute historical romances with a sprinkle of mystery to keep the reader engaged in the story. Regency romances generally have good storylines and this was no exception.

Good read. Liked the different characters and story flow. Like books set in different times in history and getting an author's perspective of that time. Liked both of these books. Entertaining read.

Book 1: Rivals of Fortune:
This was just ridiculous. The story was okay I guess but I absolutely hated the characters. Joanna was just an annoying whiny child. She just got on my last nerve. I almost put the book down repeatedly but knew that I needed to finish it but I just did not like it. 

Book 2: The impetuous heiress 
The story was good I guess it definitely was better than the first but then again I hated one of the characters in this as well. Ian was a jerk and I couldn't stand him. I just couldn't get over how much of a jerk he was. 

Just I did not like the characters but a good story.
