While I have only read positive reviews for this book, my opinion was slightly different. The stick figure art that many raved about - I found it amateurish, almost hastily done. The story of Amber's fall in to alcoholism lacked the emotional depth i was expecting. The tone of the whole book was in a very matter-of-fact manner and while that appealed to a lot of others, it just wasn't my cup of tea. |
