I am a huge fan of J Kenner Stark series but Dirtiest Secret didn’t wow me. Granted the sex was hot, I felt let down by the story.

I am a J Kenner fan but this one was difficult for me. The OW in this are so blatant and there are so many that it's really hard to see past that. I get that he's broken. I get that he's traumatized. I get that what Dallas and Jane went through is unspeakable and that their love is taboo but come on. Jane is basically a doormat who lets him do what he wants with the OW and still seeks him out. The plot is interesting, Dallas' promiscuity aside. I really wish that it wasn't such a big part of it because I would have enjoyed it more. I am hesitant to continue this series but will reassess after trusted friends read the next. I must give kudos for the sensuality in the writing. It is very very sexy. Safety: OW OW OW, did I mention OW? No OM but there were some during their separation. No condoms. There was definite sexual abuse though rape is not explicitly mentioned. No physical abuse. H pushes h away a lot.

ARC received in exchange for an honest review.

A billionaire, one night and a secret that could destroy a family.

This is the first book in a series that delves into two people, brought together by a unique circumstance, experience a traumatic event and then deal with the recovery process.

This isn't a standalone read and while there is some closure at the end, you will need to read the next installment to see how this all plays out.

Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.

Holy heat Batman. This book was so hot...and in like a dirty, but not really dirty way. Wow. I still can't get over the heat in this book between Dallas and Jane. I'm not sure where this is going with Deliverance and their kidnappers and if they're going to ever be able to bring their relationship into the open, but wow. So hot. I don't think I can say that enough. I'm diving right in to the next one.

This book threw me for a loop at first but ended up being great. I love J. Kenner's books and this was no exception.

Okay, so the beginning of this book I was thinking ewww because...(SLIGHT SPOILER COMING UP, SLIGHT SPOILER COMING UP)...I do not enjoy when the male lead is shown in sexual situations with other women, and this book has that, and I had to skim past those parts, but I loved everything else about this book, so I didn't let that affect my rating. This is a forbidden romance, which I totally love those! And on top of that, the characters were kidnapped and tortured when they were younger, so they both have their issues, and are damaged in ways that are heartbreaking, so there is some dark elements to the story. I love how emotionally charged the characters are, and how they feel so deeply for each other. Dallas and Jane are siblings by way of adoption, and have been in love with each other since they were teens, but they've stayed apart because of the taboo of being brother and sister, but it's painful for them to stay apart; they do what they can to try to forget about each other, but there comes a point when the hurt becomes too much. My heart just melted for these characters, and how much they endure. I couldn't stand some of Dallas' actions, and I really felt for Jane, but you can't stay disgusted by Dallas, and he found a place in my heart. The sex is raw and carnal, and has a kink factor to it. I loved that this book has dual POV's because I really think romances benefit from knowing the true feelings of both characters. Besides the deep connection between the main characters, there are some intense scenes trying to discover information about those involved in the kidnapping of Dallas and Jane. This book definitely kept me reading and reading, and I'm going to go read the next book right now!

I have to begin by saying, I am a J, Kenner Fan. I have ready the Stark Series and most of the books that followed. So, I was initially excited to read this one. How-so-and-ever, I still don't know what to make if this title. It most certainly wasn't bad, but it was 't great.... different...perhaps is the word to describe the relationship of Dallas and Jane. Something about the read seemed disjointed and the storyline itself has a series of complexities that are not easily relateable, yet they provide some intrigue that moves you towards the end of this title.

I am willing to give this read 3-stars and have higher hopes for the second book of the series.

I have not read a book for Kenner that I did not like and want more from. This one was no exception.
