This series is a very popular addition to children's detective/mystery books categories, and I can see why. The main character, Amanda, is intriguing with quirky characteristics. Not only does she appear to be the leader of her small group of children trying to solve a crime, but she is also fun to be around. The author did a great job of bringing her to life.

I loved this book and I can't wait to read more in this series.

A cute concept for the lovers of Sherlock Holmes. This is perfect for the kids who are aspiring to be like Nancy Drew or the Hardy boys. It's perfect since it's a series just like Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys.

This is the start of a fantastic series! Amanda is a strong female character who has her flaws, but perseveres in the end. A descendant of Inspector Lestrade, she lives up to her detective ancestry despite reluctance to do so. I highly recommend this series!
