This was a strange read -- I enjoyed it while I was reading. But when I finished, I felt flat. All the relationships are so interesting. The friendships are especially realistic and strong. This is 100% character driven, and I usually love character-driven stories, but I think I needed a little more action here.

This was a super-quick read due to its pacing and lively descriptiveness. Despite its easy flow, however, it contained many vivid images and spot-on human nature assessments. I would be very interested to read more of this author's work to see if the insights continued as richly in tales with other circumstances.
