I love fantasy novels and really wanted to love this one, too. I actually really liked the sexiness and how the author shows Mattie as a woman who enjoys sexual pleasure. And the unique concept was great too. But not enough to keep me reading. In fact, i never finished the book. I tried. But got tired of reading about her traveling from one place to the next, without anything major happening, without much plot development or big revelations. I appreciate the opportunity to try this book, but I won't be reading the rest of the series. Just not my type.

This author just apparently isn't for me apart from the one book so far that I've liked from her.

Sarah Fine writes solid plots with amazing and imaginative worlbuildings. And even if Reliquary wasn't was I was expecting nor my favorite, I will definitely continue with the series , because Sarah Fine 'nuff said. Plus the take on magic as a drug (and a very addictive one) was a very nice touch and I need to know what comes next.

Great story. I look forward to reading the next book.
