Great middle grade read for aspiring writers - reminded me a little of Dear Mr. Henshaw but older

Autumn's brother Hunter is a teenager, and though they were once close, they have grown apart. When Hunter reads one of Autumn's poems about her crush Cameron out loud, to Cameron's brother, she is crushed. She decides to show her brother once and for all that she is a writer by entering an essay contest. When her essay, about the fractured family relationship she is living in is chosen, Autumn will have to choose between being a writer and being a sister. 

Lovely middle grade/coming of age story.
