I’m not huge into romance, but this was a cute love story. I enjoyed Sweetness, his obsession with spatulas, how he would rescue old, emaciated dogs, bunnies, and a feral cat. I really enjoyed Rhett. On the one hand, he was a high-powered owner of a theater chain and a food snob, but was softy beneath. I really liked the way the author transformed his character but still kept pieces of the old him. I thought Karen was a strong, awesome character who had been through a lot but was able to forgive the worst in Rhett. The novel was somewhat predictable with the romance part, but I loved Sweetness and the comedy he brought to the story. Rating: 4 out of 5 I received this book for NetGalley and Harvest House Publishing in exchange for a review. |
This book was wonderful. It was a funny light-hearted adventure with some very unique twists and turns. I completely connected with Stephanie's love of books and literature and Rhet's experiences with an old rv trailer. Great book! |

This s book is the second book in the love unleashed series. This is the story of Stephanie and Rhett and the amazing show stealing dog , Sweetness. Stephanie is an aspiring literary agent and Rhett is a man who has left his job due to a mistake. This book is funny and an easy read. I found myself laughing out loud at times! Another home run for Dana Mentink! |
