I requested this several years ago and I don't think it's a book for me anymore. So I will not be reviewing at this time, but if I do read it, I will update this review. Thank you for the opportunity.

Denise has done it again, leaving me wanting more. I can never get enough of her books, always left wanting the story to go on and on.

Only You is a heart-warming, sexy and witty romantic contemporary story. I enjoyed Kevin when he was the over-protective older brother in The Substitute and I absolutely loved getting to know Kevin on a deeper level in his own story. I love the relationship between him and his sister, Megan. The interactions between them remind me of my own with my brothers.

Holly is sweet and innocent, yet also isn't afraid to go after what she wants. She has a life plan and is content with working towards it until sexy Kevin shows up and throws her off kilter. I love the banter and chemistry between Kevin and Holly. I felt the sparks jumping off the page.

Only You has many laugh out loud moments. If you've read The Wedding Pact Series, then I'm sure you'll love seeing some of the characters again, especially Grams, as much as I did. And leave it to Knickers, (Kevin's Mom), to butt in Kevin's life and create some funny scenes that will have you laughing and chuckling.

I believe everyone will enjoy reading this, even if romance books aren't your usual thing. Give it a try...what do you have to lose???

This is a cute funny story that opens up with Ex- Marine Kevin Vandemeer coming home only to fine that his sister found him the most god awful, run down, you can fix it up and flip it home in the city. Looking for peace and quiet, he is now looking at who knows what. But his sister says it’s a steal. He is thinking he got taken to the cleaners and wants to know how much she made off this deal with his money while he was out fighting which right now is better than what he is looking at. That is until he sees the neighbor come home. She is Holly Greenwood who is a wedding planner and right now that is not looking very promising. Being a wedding planner is all she has ever wanted to be and she needs to stay focused on that and not on the new guy next door. But like any good neighbor she takes him homemade cookies as a welcome present only to have her foot go through the front porch and lose her shoe in the process. Things go back and forth until one night when they decide to spend the night together and now neither can get the other one out of their head. That is until she finds out the she has been working for Kevin’s mom all along and when his mother finds out that she is dating her son Holly does not match up. That is until Kevin finds out and gives his two cent and this all comes out at a party which adds to the celebration. Now can it all be fixed? Read this fun story and find out.

- I was sad to leave the characters from The Wedding Pact series behind once I was done reading about them. However, I was elated when it was announced that there would be a spin-off series and I would be able to reconnect with the characters in that series and get to love more characters in that world. Denise Grover Swank creates such wonderful people that you never want to see them go! Behold The Bachelor Brotherhood series!!
In this book we get to meet Megan’s brother, Kevin, and follow his story. You will love everything about Kevin and Holly. I don’t want to give anything away but this book is a keeper! I dare you to read it without laughing out loud at least once!!

Only You is a rom-com and the first book in the Bachelor Brotherhood series, a spin off of the Wedding Pact series (though you don't really need to have read that to enjoy this!). Once again Denise manages to use words and craft a story in a way that reaches into your heart and makes you connect with characters and their stories. She will make you laugh, have you rooting for the characters, and poking your significant other asking why they aren't making you swoon like Kevin manages to. Just like every other book she has written, it was a pleasure to read! I cannot wait for book two

I love Denise Grover Swank, both as a person and an author. She has such great talent that I can't help but read everything she writes. While I may not love everything she writes (meaning giving everything 5 stars), I enjoy it. Her storytelling takes me away from it all, kind of like people wished Calgon would do in those old commercials. I get to dive into some crazy situations and relationships. Everything feels so real when she's describing it that it is hard not to get lost.

I haven't been a huge fan of romance because to me they are all the same: girl meets boy, girl and boy have connection, something happens to drive them apart, they get back together, have hot passionate, descriptive sex, and live happily ever after. I'm not overly fond of those types of plots. While some of these things may happen in Denise's books, there is always an "other" associated with it. What I mean is that the characters aren't stupid, they talk to each other, they are adults (or at least mature in the case of her YA stuff), and they deal with life. The emotions invoked while reading her stories are genuine. They come from a place that seems to hide in all of us, whether we want to admit it or not. Denise has actually gotten me to take more chances on romance novels and I thank her for opening that closed off place that I never knew existed. Does this mean I'll start loving romance and defend it to my death? Not necessarily, but I definitely won't be turned off because of the genre.

*PS, I still don't like the sexy bits. You know, the hardened length and sensitive nub. I prefer grown up terms thank you.
