If you want a romance that'is emotionally charged, has a ton of heat and a secretive past that might destroy any hope for a future.

Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.

I'm completely invest in Dallas and Jane's relationship. Now that they have moved to the point where they aren't trying to fight how they feel about each other anymore, it's so much more fun. But how long can it last when the world is closing in around them? What's going to happen if word gets out about Deliverance? What's going to happen if more people find out about them?

A great installment to their story. Has the heat you know and love from Kenner, along with enough emotion to keep you fully invested in not only the two of them, but the cast of characters gathered around them.

The thing about these books is that you feel like you have read them time and time again. I was it wasn't so but I feel like there is no originality and that is something this genre really needs to work on.

So, I finished the first book and went right into this one because this series draws you in. It's intense and the connection between the characters makes my heart swoon with the depth of passion the main characters have for each other. You definitely need to read the first book before this one since this one picks up right where the previous one ended. Dallas and Jane have decided that they are going to be together, but they are trying to keep it on the down low due to them being brother and sister; even if it's through adoption, they know people; especially their parents, won't understand. They are also looking for more clues about their kidnapping, which means Dallas needs to continue with his manwhore persona, which I just hate, and really hate a conversation that Jane and Dallas have at a party towards the beginning of the book about threesomes, but I just skimmed those parts. Luckily those kind of actions and talk doesn't happen for long, so it didn't affect my rating. Dallas and Jane still have a deep, intense connection, and their relationship is just so sweet! Dallas has a lot of emotional and physical trauma he needs to deal with, and finds out some shocking information regarding Jane and his kidnapping; plus he's receiving some mysterious messages threatening Jane. The sex scenes are still raw, kinky, and primal, and Dallas and Jane are perfect for each other. This book focuses a lot on Dallas and Jane's relationship evolving, and working through past traumas. This one was just as entertaining as the first, and as with the first I needed to keep reading till the end. On to the 3rd!

Again, I will begin this review by saying I am a fan of J. Kenner, however. I just could. To finish this title. I tried. I really did, but it just was not the one for me, so my took the road less traveled, and did not finish this title, the Hottest Mess, a continuation of Dallas and Jane's story.t was too much and nothing at all. So much emotion that went no where.

I digress. I give this one 2-stars for what a I read, mainly, because I've seen more from this author. Sad times.

This is the second book in the SIN series & it continues the Dallas & Jane story. I like this book but at times Jane just wears me down- she seems so negative & whiny. That being said its not enough to keep me from reading this suspenseful book & I love all the twists & turns J. Kenner takes her readers on.

Looking forward to the next book in the series.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
