Nicky and Lauren are coworkers at an architect firm. Both are attracted to each other from the time they meet but aren't sure how to ask the other out.  Finally they have an opportunity when a project comes up that Lauren wants help with.  Nicky and Lauren start spending time together.  Both have things in their lives that puts a strain on them building a relationship.

The characters were likable but I just couldn't connect with them.  I did like Nicky's relationship with her son and how she overcame a really bad situation so young.  I also thought the ending was rushed and the parts about the crazy ex needed more fleshing out.

Overall it was a decent romance and I'd still read more by this author.
