The author moves through a history of politics with an eye toward the decorum and rhetoric of various U.S. presidents from Eisenhower forward, as well as including a couple of senators. This book was published during the 2016 election campaign and begins by addressing some of the circumstances surrounding the Republican candidate at the time, so it was interesting to read it now that we are living in the results of that period. This is a good pick for people who like to read about politics and how the actions and words of political leaders may influence public civility.
