Yale University Press' A Little History series is one of my favorites and this does not disappoint. I found Holloway's writing engaging and the entire book very interesting. It kept me engaged but not overwhelmed and i learned a few things along the way.

A LITTLE HISTORY OF RELIGION is an interesting, well-written and broad study of religion. It's accessible, well-detailed without being exhausting, Holloway provides an engaging survey of religion and its development over the history of humanity.
Recommended.

While this doesn't replace my favorite book on religions, it was informative and I'd recommend it for sure.
