What I'm enjoying about this series (aside from the hot, alpha billionaires!) is the fact that every element brought to the page works. The funny with the candid or the sexy and unexpected, the author does a great job of keeping the reader engaged and invested in the story. I loved Taggert (Tag)! A self-proclaimed player, Tag didn't apologize for his lifestyle. So it was a treat to see him stumble upon Rachel and have his world turn upside down when he starts falling for her. Rachel was a great character to get to know too. She also had her own issues with relationships and commitment, which made her falling for Tag that much more interesting. Of course, their chemistry was abundant and it made for some awesome steamy moments. In the end, these two found a way to get over their issues to give love a try and their journey led to a fun enjoyable read.

Holy sex on a stick! Jessica Lemmon had me with her inspiration for her hero in The Billionaire Next Door even though it makes me feel like such a dirty old woman. High on fun, flirting, and sexy times and low on drama I loved every minute of this book.

Taking care of one of her regular bar customer’s Great Dane and living in his luxury high rise for a pretty nice paycheck is just what Rachel Foster needs so she can get completely back on her feet after her ex-boyfriend screwed her over royally. Meeting the upstairs neighbor Tag Crane becomes one hell of a bonus when she offers up her expertise to redesign one of his bars to be more efficient and he takes her to Hawaii so she can get a better feel for the place she’s helping him redesign.

There was much I loved about this book including the way these two met, the animosity between them even when sparks were flying all around, and the way neither one could stop thinking about the other one after that first encounter. With Tag being considered a player (but one with a conscience) and Rachel not trusting men and having a bit of a self esteem crisis they are an unlikely pair. The fact that Rachel doesn’t know who he is at first and even after she finds out she fights him every time he tries to buy her anything including dinner makes him realize she’s not only independent, but not after him for his money or what he can do for her. I liked that Rachel challenged Tag and that she often confused him and that was unusual for someone like Tag. It kept him in check, it made him have to work for her, and it made him realize that sometimes the best things are not always what is easiest.

Their relationship built at a good pace allowing Rachel to see all sides of Tag and to realize there was more to him than what he shows the world, they built trust, and there was no doubt that physically they were well matched.

I enjoyed Rachel’s spunky attitude, her need for independence and her business sense, but most of all I appreciated that she realized Tag was special. Tag impressed me with his patience, his understanding, and his ability to see that Rachel’s brain was just as sexy as her outside package. I’ll just add that in my eyes Tag is one of those perfect romance book heroes.

It was so easy to get wrapped up in this story, this couple’s journey, their self doubts and their growing feelings; which made it so easy to absolutely love The Billionaire Next Door (although if I’m being technical it should have been The Billionaire on Top of Me…LOL)!

One thing about Jessica Lemmon readers will never be disappointed is in her guys. Tag Crane is one hot long-haired wearing man bun sexy guy woohoo. I loved him a little bit in Reese`s story and man this one is all about big Tag Crane. The attraction they have starts slow but ends in a hot, passionate affair they have never experienced before which well scares them. Tag has always been known as a party man so unlike the responsible Reese his brother. I loved that seeing him with Rachel just well short circuits his brain lol. Once again Jessica Lemmon doesn`t disappoint and only makes this series great making me anxious for Eli Crane the next one in the series. Jessica Lemmon just rocks again and her readers will love Tag.

The second Crane billionaire has fallen under love's spell! I stumbled across this series by chance when I was cruising the web for new stories to try. I'd never read anything by this author so I was a little skeptical about it, but figured what the heck, mainly because the covers were so compelling. Taggert "Tag" Crane is definitely a died-in-the-wool Bachelor and it was hard to believe that he would find a woman to drag him out of his shell and steal his heart, but with a little help from a sweet great dane named Adonis, Rachel manages to break him down. Instant lust and want is something that Tag understands, but when he begins to feel more for Rachel, the fears and excuses kick in and he begins to unintentionally break Rachel's heart a piece at a time. I loved getting to know Rachel, a woman that has taken her life in her own hands and finally decided that she will leave behind the unhealthy influences in her life and live a little. Once she gets to know Tag, it's impossible to resist his allure, not just physically, but emotionally as well. This story was filled with laughs, tears, sweetness and heartbreak to go along with the sexy and sinful Tag, and I am truly glad to have had the chance to read it. I am dying to read Eli's book soon and know it will be great, no matter the challenges he now faces in his life. I am truly amazed by how much I enjoyed this story, despite the clichéd billionaire playboy and the down on her luck heroine, and am happy to say I have added Ms. Jessica to my watch list. If you like a story filled with passion, a sexy playboy losing his heart, or even a sweet dog pulling two people together, you will love Billionaire Next Door, and if you haven't read book one, Billionaire Bachelor, then I suggest you run out and grab both so you are ready for the next story as Eli overcomes all odds to find himself a mate as wonderful and awesome as his brothers have.

I have read a few of Jessica Lemmon’s series and every time I start a new one I think that the previous one is my favorite but I have to say Ms. Lemmon has a talent in writing bad boys and billionaires. What happens when she combines the two? Pure art. The Billionaire Next Door was sexy, sweet and I couldn’t help but devour each page. I wasn’t sure how Ms. Lemmon was going to top the first book in this series, The Billionaire Bachelor, but she surpassed it with flying colors.

Tag Crane may be a billionaire and party a little too much, but he takes his work seriously. He is in charge of his family’s bars, whether it be expanding them to make them better or starting from scratch. When working on a new project he is interrupted by his neighbor’s dog constant barking which isn’t normal. Tag decides to head down to see what is going on so he can get back to work and comes face to face with a beautiful woman who happens to be dog sitting for one of her customers. What Tag is about to realize is not only is Rachel interesting but she knows her way around the bar business and he needs her help.

Rachel Foster is only dog- sitting for a few weeks while her customer is out of town. Newly single and not looking for another relationship at the moment she is instantly attracted to Tag but has no idea who he actually is. She offers to help Tag with designing the bars since she has worked in a few and has a degree in marketing that she currently isn’t using. The more time she spends with Tag the more she opens up to the possibility that maybe they could have something but will Tag get cold feet before their relationship really starts?

The dialogue in The Billionaire Next Door was fun, fresh and really stood out. There was humor laced in almost every line that I couldn’t help but chuckle along. Tag came off as a playboy at first but I loved how he started dating Rachel and didn’t even plan it. All he knew was that he liked her and wanted to spend as much time with her as possible even if that meant helping her cash out at the end of the night when she was working in the bar. I liked Rachel and understood her doubts on dating Tag, I mean she just got out of a relationship were her ex not only cheated but had to leave her old job because of him. When Tag started to freak out about the relationship I understood Rachel’s pain but in the end I was so glad he finally got his head out of his ass and went all out to show her how much she really did mean to him.

I couldn’t determine who my favorite character was in The Billionaire Next Door which was a huge plus because I really liked and enjoyed them both on different levels. Rachel was smart, driven and fiercely independent. Even though she was dating a billionaire who could give her the world and move mountains for her she prided herself on doing everything on her own unless she asked for it which in her case was very rare. Tag was sweet in wanting to help her and I gave him props for talking to her before doing anything that would upset her. I loved how it really drove him crazy that Rachel wanted to help contribute to things while dating.

Also in The Billionaire Next Door we get more of a look at Eli who just returned home which I was glad for because I was really starting to wonder when he would make an appearance. Already I am looking forward to his book but to find out why you’ll have to pick up The Billionaire Next Door and trust me you won’t be disappointed!

The Billionaire Next Door is the second book in Billionaire Bad Boys series by Jessica Lemmon. Having thoroughly enjoyed reading the first book, The Billionaire Bachelor, I was eager to read this book that is Tag Crane, the youngest of the Crane siblings' story.

Tag was introduced as a fun loving, casual dressing man who loves to pump his muscles, be the life of the party and love women without any promises of relationship; but who, despite all his frivolous and casual ways, is a hard worker and travels different places as part of his job of running the luxurious Crane Hotels. I had been intrigued by Tag right from the first moment and could not wait to read this book.

The Billionaire Next Door has all the ingredients of a bestseller romance. It has a hunky, alpha hero with a playfulness no woman can resist; a strong heroine who instantly wins our hearts with her determination to brave all the hurdles in her path, even if it means going from a high paying job as an executive to tending a bar and walking dogs! It also has that "my-neighbour-is-a-billionaire-but-I-dont-know-that" element that adds a thrill to the story and the romance is hot, sexy and explosive.
But despite all these spicy ingredients, I just couldn't get engaged in this story. I started, stopped and then restarted reading this book so many times but after a point, every time, I started getting bored and could not continue.

I felt the plot could have been handled better. We got Rachel's backstory in a few pages and then the romance started which kept going on and on and on with very slow development in the sub-plots.

I loved Rachel and Tag is a likeable character. He had so much potential but could not leave his mark on me. But I loved how they fit together so well despite being so different.

All in all, The Billionaire Next Door by Jessica Lemmon is a decent story that, according to me, had much potential and could have been better handled. I do feel a little let down by this book but still feel that it can be read once. It has some memorable scenes and I enjoyed some parts of the book. 3.5 stars out of 5 to it from me.

I am eager to read the next book in this series, I have come to love. The characters feel like friends and I want more of their stories.

I received an ARC from the publishers via netgalley and I am very thankful to them. The above is my honest and unbiased opinion and in no way influenced.

I've been looking forward to Tag's story since I met him in the last book, and I was not disappointed! He is sexy, smart, kind, fun and I loved that he was patient with Rachel and always showed her how much he wanted her. Rachel's ex did a number on her, but she really grew into her own with Tag's encouragement. Great chemistry between them and Tag's grand gesture knocked it out of the ballpark for me. I think I might have enjoyed this one more than the first book. Eli's book is next and I have a feeling he's going to be my favorite!

I highly enjoyed reading Tag and Rachel's book. I just loved their first meeting. It set the tone for the book. What made this book so enjoyable for me was the characters. They both had great personalities. The secondary characters were great as well. Tag is great hero material even though he's a player. It works because he is considerate about the women he dates. A big plus in my book. I liked Rachel because she's independent and isn't wooed by money. Tag and Rachel have their ups and downs, but what Tag does at the end of the book would win anyone over. I looking forward to to the book in the series.

Overall I really enjoyed this story but it was a bit slow in the middle for me.
I did enjoy how their relationship felt organic, like there was instant attraction between them but nothing happened to quickly, instead as they started spending more time together they just sort of fell into a relationship.
Of course there was that little bit of conflict where they each had to decide to either jump ship or jump into their feelings headfirst and this played out in the most perfect way for them.
I'm excited to have gotten an introduction to Eli and a glimpse at what we can expect from the his book.
