I haven't read many action-science fiction themed romance books. You know, where the heat is still there, but there's guns and science too. It's not my first choice when I think of romance, but this book still totally held my attention. Christa was such a likeable character due to her loyalty, and intelligence. I also enjoyed that she was being honest with herself with how attracted she was to Jake, leader of the Tribe. 

​There's also always a reason for the action and science. The plot contains layers of betrayal and discovery. And it really is only the beginning. So, if you're into stories that have more to them than the love story between the two leads, this is definitely a story you need to look into.
