This is absolutely captivating. Matt is funny, sweet and charming. Vivienne is spunky, amusing and a bit hyper. Their story starts off sadly but romantically and progresses to something healing and powerful. I love the storyline and the dynamics between the characters. It's a well written, brilliant story tha needs to be added to your TBR list.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest opinion of it.

This is my first time reading Ms. Chase, and I heard great things about her, so I am disappointed that One More Kiss turned out to be a dud. But looking on the bright side, I can try a different Samantha Chase book.

Yet another great book from Samantha Chase. This book brings us Matt and Vivienne's story. It didn't disappoint. Lots of ups and downs, laughter and smoking hot scenes. All the ingredients for a fabulous love story.
Matt is licking his wounds. Seeking solitude and somewhere to hide after a failed broadway show, Matt is offered a lifeline to hang out at his friend Aaron's house while he is abroad. Enter Vivienne. She has a serious crush on Matt. Vivienne longs to get a repeat performance of the toe curling kiss they experienced some time ago. No other guy has ever lived up to that. Samantha Chase writes with such passion and sincerity it's hard not to think of the characters as friends. Read this book you won't be disappointed. Looking forward to the next one. The only criticism as always is I hate when the book finishes.

Band on the Run takes us that step further to see what happens in the lives of the Shaughnessy band members once the group has dismantled themselves and moved on to new musical endeavors.. some more successful than others.. I would call this series a spin-off of The Shaughnessy Brothers series, but I don’t know if it’s officially billed this way.

One More Kiss gives us Matt and Vivienne’s romance, one that grows out of a best friend’s little sister’s crush, and one world weary man’s life changing memory of her kiss. Matt made his choice for what to do as an individual performer, no longer just one of the band. And his efforts flopped spectacularly and quickly closed after only a three day run. Torn to pieces by the critics, practically booed outta town by the fans, Matt has gone into hiding in the last place he expects anyone to be able to find him. He’s going home to North Carolina, a small town and hopefully the blissful quiet of his friend’s home where he can drink himself into oblivion and sulk until he’s as down in spirits as a man can get.

He certainly didn’t expect Vivienne to show up with her bubbly, happy personality, her refusal to put up with his crap – or the memory of one kiss that could change everything. But that’s a risk, and he’s not too fond of risks at the moment.

I enjoyed One More Kiss. This story gives us a look into the artistic mind of a musician who is questioning his talents, and the hope that there is life after a huge failure in his professional life. I liked Vivienne, she’s no nonsense, kick butt when she has to and completely loyal to the man she loves, even if he is a royal pain in the behind at the moment. They fit together so well, even those rough around the edges moments made perfect sense given how much she needs Matt to come back from the edge and live again… with her.

If you are looking for a Romance with all the feels you could ever wish for… have I got a story for you. I’d definitely recommend One More Kiss for any Romance reader who enjoys a solid story, likable couples and interesting secondary characters. You may want to sit Matt down at some points for a stern talking to, but you’ll enjoy his journey back to the world that Vivienne offers, one where only he matters, not what he can do or who he is – just Matt, and that’s enough for them both.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

Music is in the air! You will enjoy the newest book by Samantha Chase. Matt and Vivienne create beautiful music together as their relationship grows. Enjoy!

This is one of those series that branches off of another. Matt was part of the Shaughnessy band, which sets up the theme of humiliation within fame. Matt has almost the same issue as Riley, bombing so bad that it's sent him out of town.

Which leads him to his best friends little sister who he shared a steamy kiss with. From there they go through the typical "woe is me" drama to find each other in the end. This theme is lost to me at this point but if this is your thing it'll definitely be your thing! I'm just over the best friends sibling and band romances.

Samantha Chase’s latest release, “One More Kiss” takes the readers into the lives of the rest of the Shaughnessy band, as they dismantle trying to find their own place in the cutthroat world of music. Each fighting their own demons, personal as well as professionals, it’s a “Band On The Run”.

Matt Reed had the world at his feet, before the alcohol and a Broadway disaster derails him professionally and personally. Riding out the storm by hiding at a friend’s place has an upside especially with Vivienne Forrester being his neighbor.

Vivienne Forrester always had feelings for her brother’s best friend and now living in close proximity only deepens her feelings. With her personal blog taking off and her love life getting on track, Vivienne is headed onto a life of high notes and low notes.

It’s a sweet love story from Samantha Chase as she takes the readers into the life of a rock star, his failures, fears and insecurities and the big role the media plays in making or breaking a person. And then you have the people who care about you supporting and encouraging as you try to find your way back with no guilt and regrets.

I am in love. Sorry Vivienne, I know he is yours. Oh, but sigh!!!! Why are the good ones taken??
I finished Samantha Chase’s latest release One More Kiss last week, and I am still bowled over. I was gifted with an early copy of One More Kiss at a time in my life that I really needed a reality vacation and I can honestly say that this book did that in spades. The story grabbed me from the very beginning and I could not put it down. I loved the relationship that developed between Vivienne and Matt from the very beginning. I liked the way the way Ms. Chase added substance to Matt and Vivienne by writing into the story of how they both felt guilty for keeping the relationship secret from Vivienne’s brother. It is one of the many things that made the characters more “real”.
I have been a fan of Ms. Chase’s books for two years now, I still have not read EVERYTHING she has written, YET (I will get there someday), but, I know without a doubt that when I pick up one of her books I will be in for a fantastic emotional ride. Thank you, Ms. Chase, for all the hours and hours of reading entertainment you give to your reading fans. We love you! 

sometimes what we want isn't exactly what we get.
Matt, a member of the band Shaughnessy, wants to join Broadway, unfortunately for him things don't go exactly as planned.

Vivienne finally has her life figured out, but then Matt comes home to hideout and after a rough start she realizes what she has isn't all she wants.

Through some rough patches they try to work things out because sometimes love finds you when you least expect it.

I give this book and author a five star review and highly recommend both.

One More Kiss is the first book in the Band On The Run Series and I can't wait for more. You get your first peek at Shaughnessy in This Is Our Song. Samantha brings some of Rory's story into One More Kiss as he helps his friend and bandmate, Matt, through a hard time. I really like the way she brought in characters from the other series I was familiar with.

I fell for the story and the characters in this book. It was romantic and emotional.

Matt Reed is in hiding. His recent failure has caused him to question everything in his life. The press is hounding him and making up stories to compound his failure. He has also spent the last 12 years running from his past. Vivienne Forrester likes her plans and she organizes everything to go according to plan. She was not thinking two years ago when she went to visit Matt backstage, but he does not remember the kiss that meant so much to her. Matt is back in her life and she wants to help him out of his self-imposed exile. The Shaughnessy band members all have deep issues to work through, but Matt must make the decision to want to be helped.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

When starting a Samantha Chase book, I always expect it to tug at my heartstrings, but One More Kiss took me on a bit of an emotional rollercoaster I wasn't expecting!!

In this book we catch up with Matt, who has had a run of bad luck on his solo career, and looking to get away. He made me want to just cuddle him and tell him everything will work out. Vivienne was absolutely perfect for him. She helped him heal, and while doing that exposed him to different interests to take his mind off of the stress he was dealing with. This was a fantastic read, and I don't think I've ever seen such a happy HEA. Samantha Chase pulled it all together, and will have you crying happy tears by the time you finish this read. I would definitely recommend reading this!!!

This was such a great story! I was a little apprehensive at first, but Matt was a guy that you have to love. When the band takes time to do solo projects, Matt attempts a broadway show that flops in its opening weekend. He turns to a friend who offers refuge. Unfortunately, the girl next door (or in the carriage house, as it were) is a little off limits. Vivienne is a food blogger who uses Matt as a lunch companion. Their fun, playful chemistry is adorable. Matt isn't just another drunk rock star who uses women. He's got such a good heart and is drop-dead-yummy. I can't wait to read more from this series.

I will read anything that Samantha Chase writes. She has a way of making you care about characters long after the book is over. One More Kiss is the first in the Band on the Run series based on Riley Shaugnessy's band members. Matt Reed wanted to succeed on Broadway but he failed. He heads back to his hometown to hideout. While hiding out he runs into his best friend's sister Vivienne Forrester. These two are clearly meant to be together. I loved the chemistry between them! I loved the recipes! I just plain loved this book!

In One More Kiss, Samantha Chase presents a poignant, passionate story of one man’s triumph over personal and professional disappointments. As a guitarist for the legendary rock band Shaughnessy, Matty Read was used to success, parties and lots of media attention. The band members decided to take a break from touring to pursue different creative outlets. Matty chooses to perform a musical on Broadway, however, much to his disappointment the musical closed after 3 performances. While his band members have achieved success during the break, Matty has crashed and burned in a big way. Members of the media have questioned his singing ability and his work ethic.
Samantha Chase’s portrayal of Matt’s struggles takes on an edgy tone. In the novel, the reader senses the intensity of his inner struggle. Was he really the party hearty, Jack Daniels drinking rock star Matty Read? Or was he Matt Read; the singer songwriter from North Carolina?
Vivienne Forester is Matt’s best friend’s sister and she’s had a huge crush on Matt for years. A successful food blogger and editor, she is moving into a cottage on her brother’s property. Vivienne is not amused when her brother tells her that Matt is hiding out from the media at their home. Loved that the author provided a backstory to Matt and Vivienne’s romance as it clearly defined the difficulties faced by Matt’s rock star persona and provided the reader with Vivienne’s perspective.
I am glad the author chose to have romance between Matt and Vivienne progress slowly in this character-driven novel. Both characters need to sort out issues before they can take the leap from friends to lovers. Vivienne is one of Ms. Chase’s best characters. She’s is independent, smart and very career- oriented. Even though the chemistry between Matt and Vivienne sizzles during the novel, she is aware that Matt is restless. How can she have a serious relationship with a man who hiding out from reality?
The last few chapters are superbly written in this novel. Matt’s past and present seem to simultaneously collide in front of him. His friendship with Aaron, Viv’s brother, is tested and Riley presents him with a huge opportunity. Will Matt and Vivienne be able to exist in each other’s worlds? In One More Kiss, Ms, Chase delivers a terrific contemporary fiction novel with characters whose unique story has a perfect happily ever after!

One More Kiss by Samantha Chase is well-written with chemistry driven characters and full of heart. Rock stars aren’t my favorite type of hero, but Samantha Chase has won me over.

Matt is the best friend of Vivienne’s brother. He’s also her secret crush, the very one she kissed, but unfortunately for her, he was too drunk to remember. Now that everything has come crashing down on Matt, he needs something real to ground him. Matt and Vivienne keep running into each other, so it must be fate, right? Could the woman who’s always been in the background, be his answer?

One More Kiss starts off a new series for Samantha Chase and I can’t wait for the next book to roll around! If you enjoy your romances sweet and light-hearted, Samantha Chase is always highly recommended!

Loved this story, the first in the spin off series of Band on the Run. of the Shaughnessy. Matt is a rock star, who has gone into hiding to deal with his personal demons. He is neighbors with Vivienne, a food blogger, who has everything in order and planned out. A friendship that develops into so much more, ok so there was that secret kiss two years ago, but Matt didn't remember at first.

Great chemistry between these two, loved how Vivienne really brought Matt out of his hiding. It was great to catch up with the Shaughnessy family. This is a book that will touch your heart, and not let go. Can't wait to read more in this series.

One More Kiss is the first book in Samantha Chases's new Shaughnessy spin-off series. The members of the rock band Shaughnessy all decide to take a break and try their hand at individual endeavors. For Matt Reed that includes giving Broadway a try. When that fails, Matt needs some place to escape from all the bad press. He returns to his hometown in North Carolina. Samantha once again spins a sweet romantic tale. This time the love story involves Matt and his best friend Aaron's little sister Vivienne. The story builds gradually drawing the reader into the tension between these two young people. I love the writing style used by Samantha Chase. I am never disappointed by her books. Be sure to get acquainted with Matt and Vivienne soon.
