Good in Bed by Jennifer Weiner

What an emotional story and oh so true of how women feel. Remember to have tissues close by as you ride the emotional roller coaster with Cannie. I enjoyed reading the outcome of Cannie's life. Jennifer did an AMAZING job with this story. I can't wait to read more from her. ARC received from Netgalley for a voluntary review.

This was a nice fluffy read. Not what I expected, but not bad either.

I feel like a bad adult librarian who loves chick lit and contemporary fiction because I just can't get into Jennifer Weiner books.

Such a fun read! I loved the main character, and all her antics. I felt her excitement in her career, and also the pain she experienced in her lovelife. I could tell from the little details that this story was written quite a long time ago - that's my only complaint, and it's a small one.

Good In Bed is one of my favorite, go to Chic Lit books. Alternately laughing, crying, and slapping my leg in solidarity with Cannie.

A great, quick, beach read for anyone looking for a decent story.

I love Jennifer Weiner. Such a witty, fun writer. That being said this book fell flat for me. I found myself thumbing through the pages just trying to get through it. I look forward to her next book

I loved this book because sometimes you just need an easy, funny light book to read. This was easy to pick up and then I couldn't put it down. This book talks about important topics in an easy to digest manner. Highly recommend to any woman.

Good in Bed is no doubt a Chick-Lit classic. However the first time I read this book, I could not finish it. I was still in high school, around 2007 or 2008. I could not relate to the main character, Cannie, at all. I felt like she needs to grow up (coming from a teen), needs to move on, and she is annoying.
Now that 10 years have passed. When I saw NetGalley is offering the same book for review, I was willing to give it another try. Since I am not a size zero anymore and older, I am hoping I might be able to understand Cannie more. After reading it, most of the original feelings are still there. The book gets boring towards middle, and talk about her journalism career and her past. All the other scenes are good, my favorites are Bruce's column and Moxie. Cannie really needs to moves on, Bruce has explicitly and publicly said he is done with you many times. The ending is predictable. =(

I didn't care for this book. At first it was funny but then it just seemed to do nothing but ramble and switch from one story to the next, all on the whiny side. I read to relax and enjoy and I' did not enjoy this.

This book was just not for me. I have loved other books by Weiner, but I just did not connect to this storyline.

Somehow I had never read this iconic novel - so my huge thanks to NetGalley and the author for sharing Good In Bed with me.

I loved this book, and finished it under two days. It was better than I ever expected, and I found myself so drawn in!

This book was a quick read. I really enjoy this author. The title was not my favorite, but I liked the story. This was a book that I had a difficult time putting down. It flowed and kept my interest.

I've heard people raving about this book more times than I can count. While I felt like it started off a little slow (for me at least), it ended up being a better book than I imagined it would be.

Don't waste your time unless you like books where the main character is self-loathing and can't function in society. Not my cup of tea at all. Every stereotype is in this book and I didn't care for it.

Good In Bed was interesting at times but it was very repetitive. The same thoughts were going through Cannie's head over and over. She was not really a large woman (size 16) so nothing to whine about all the time. She actually had a pretty good life but didn't seem to appreciate it or her family, friends and so-workers. I was disappointed in it.

To my surprise, I realize that I requested this book online months ago and never read it. I was overjoyed when I saw Hoopla had an audio copy. Once I started it I just couldn't stop. I was hooked from the first few minutes and found myself chastising past me for waiting so long to read this. It was just the book I needed to break through my reading funk.

I fell in love with Cannie quickly. She simply forced me to read more, by the end of the book I felt as though I have made a new friend. I followed on her emotional rollercoaster and I didn't want it to end. So much so that I started the second audio book when I knew I had other books to review first. The issues Cannie has with her body I believe most woman can sympathize with. While I don't believe a size 16 is as awful as she makes it seem, sometimes you can only see it. The problems with her father hit close to home and I found myself tearing up on more than one occasion.

I didn't have any big complaints - I did feel she was a bit over dramatic at times but aren't we all when we're having an emotional breakdown? I needed to know what happened with certain characters by the end of the book but didn't feel like I got that. I'm hoping for more answers with book two. All together I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to most women I know.
