I received this from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This was another book that I had on my kindle for awhile and finally was able to finish it. I will make a note I had not read the other books in the series but I was able to follow the story without any issues. Now this is a story about old flames that meet up again with some unexpected consequences. I enjoyed the read a great deal it was a well done story.

This is a second chance book and part of the Foolproof Love series. Daniel and Hope were in love during high school and then a tragedy ripped them apart.

I started off really loving this book, but by the end - I think I just became too frustrated with Daniel's guilt ridden self and Hope's stubbornness. Daniel is letting life pass him by over his guilt - dude - grow up and see what is right in front of you. Hope was so adamant to stick to her plan that it drove me crazy at times.

"You've spent the last thirteen years more in love with your guilt than you were with my daughter." That right there sums up the frustration.

It tears at the heartstrings and I think the ending wrapped things up a little too quickly. However, this is a good series and each book builds upon the previous one. Check out Books 1 & 2 if you haven't already.

Title: A Fool For You
Series:  Foolproof Love Book #3
Author:  Katee Robert
Genre:  Romance

Blurb:  It’s been thirteen years since Hope Moore left Devil’s Falls, land of sexy cowboys and bad memories. Back for the weekend, she has no intention of seeing the man she never got over…or the two of them getting down and dirty. It’s just a belated goodbye, right? No harm, no foul.

Until six weeks later, when her pregnancy test comes back positive…

Daniel Rodriguez hasn’t forgiven himself for how things went down with Hope all those years ago. He knows she’s better off without him, but when she shows up on his doorstep, panicking because she’s pregnant with his baby, he can’t help seeing it as a chance to make up for the past.

Too bad Hope has no intention of going along with his plans.

Favorite quotes: “Don’t start that crap with me. I agreed to sex. I did not agree to you doing the equivalent of peeing on my foot. I am not yours, Daniel. I haven’t been for a long time and I never will be again.”

“ I don’t deserve a second chance – or third or fourth or whatever number chance we’re on now – but I’m asking for it all the same.”
Thoughts: I love second chance at love romances, and I’ve read a lot of good ones over the years so I guess my standards are pretty high. All in all, A Fool For You was a pretty decent one, but I felt like there was so much history and baggage here that the short little we got from this story just didn’t do it justice. Thirteen years of emotion? Lost love and regrets? Loss of important friends/family/loved ones? I should practically feel the emotions from in these pages. I should be brought to tears by the depth of the pain. There should be enough chemistry here between these characters to fry my kindle! I just didn’t feel enough emotion with this one. I was also aggravated because I wanted more from the backstory and the events leading up to the car crash, as well as more from immediately afterward.
That’s not to say it was a bad book – it was a decent read and I enjoyed reading about these characters and how they found their way back to each other. I just wanted a lot more from this book than what we got.
Rate:  B

This was my first Katee Robert title and I am pretty impressed. It could have been better but I think most of that has to do with the fact that I feel like the story itself could have been longer. But when I finally got into it I couldn't put it down and the characters really kept me interested. I would definitely buy more books by this author.

I really enjoyed the book, it has everything I love in a novel from start to finish. I can’t wait to read what the author has planned next!

I'm a part of Katee Robert's reader club on Facebook, and she teased that she was writing another cowboy book where the heroine unexpectedly gets pregnant. Secret baby books and long lost love books are my favorite tropes, so I was all over this book the second it showed up on Netgalley. Read the book in one sitting and immediately wanted to read it all over again.

This is the book that I've been looking forward to the most I think; that's because the story is referenced in each of the previous books to the point that i just had to know how it all started and how it was going to end for them all.

I enjoyed this one, but it wasn't my favorite in the series. Daniel and Hope may get their second chance, but can Daniel let go of the past to let it happen? The characters have a lot of chemistry and things get steamy between the two. A tragic accident 13 years ago cost them the future they dreamed of now fate has put these two together again. One big question will they grab a hold of this opportunity or let slip through their fingers?
